Thanks for adding to the info. Would you mind sharing at lease the info about your hardware and maybe the kernel version and a list of modules that were loaded? If ssasa would post his info as well, perhaps we could look for similarities and get that info to the mint devs. I run Ubuntu myself, but I like trying to assist other projects when the opportunity arises.
For the system freezes, you could check the kernel log. It might give you an idea of what is causing the lockup. You can try Ironhide or Bumblebee for solving your Nvidia optimus problem. The battery issue is mostly due to the Nvidia GPU being on all the time. If you get Ironhide / Bumblebee working it should mostly resolve your battery issue.
My apologies. The last time I read anything about Thunderbold (Lightpeak), was back in February of 2011. A few of the articles I read said apple exclusive and my faulty memory recalled 2 years instead of one. The articles I previously read misconstrued the phrase "a year headstart" and claimed that Apple had 1 year exclusive rights. Intel has since refuted that. Thanks for making me go back an re-read it.
The only reason Intel didn't promote it before, was due to the fact that Apple had a 2 year exclusivity clause on Thunderbolt. Now that it is up, Intel is free to put it into generic PCs.
If you're going to bitch about it, at least get it right. This would be the third cat of the same name, as a Puma, Panther, and Mountain Lion are all the same thing.
I would imaging that when the tank popped, there was an instant loss of fuel pressure causing compressor surge. Perhaps pressure loss caused a flameout instead and then fuel started pooling in the combustion section. Then, when enough pressure built up, the unburnt fuel combusted, causing turbine damage.
Let me save the rest of you a bunch of time.
"Nothing compares to my Model M..."
"I spent 300 dollars on my Cherry and it is still worth every penny..."
Ad naseum, ad infinitum.
btw: I miss my PS/2 selectric touch keyboard.
I always thought that a neat idea for an episode would have been them running into an abandoned Voyager from a different timeline in which the ship itself had been assimilated by the borg injecting nanites into the gel packs.
Friendly advice, if you want to be able to retain your geek card, you'd better be able to recognize any major quote from Wargames.
Strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Yoda was right. "Always two, there are. No more, no less. A master, and an apprentice." Darth Bane would approve.
Hasn't this concept been around since the 60's?
The Tesla is strong in this one.

It looks like a proton pack. I hope whoever he gets to work on it is licensed to work with particle accelerators.
They may not have been surprised by the counterstrike, but I'm sure they were surprised with the scale.
Mod down. Link is a goatse.cx picture.
Always, never, forget to check your references.
Sweet comic. I had the exact same experience with X-Wing on 486 with 4MB of ram. I eventually made memmaker my bitch and finally got it working.
Opposite of Helium. It makes your voice sound really deep.
To be fair, that EV7 you had was fabricated in either 180 or 130 nanometer process. Made on 32nm process, it would be a whole different story.
My kingdom for a mod point. +1 Insightful, if I had it.

That's fine and dandy for simple boards, but you won't be building a 7+ layer motherboard with that setup.
Parent post is a goatsex picture. Do not follow. slashgnome, you're an asshole of the proportions in that picture.
dollars to doughnuts, the reason XP isn't going to be compatible with iCloud is the lack of: PVP and PUMA
I hope you like doing all your mounting on FreeBSD, that way you'll be used to jails.
