That shouldn't be a problem since 5.0. They do the max version bump automatically if their automatic compatibility scanner says the addon checks out, otherwise it sends an email to the developer alerting them that their addon is broken on the new version.

  4. Re:You're wrong about addons on Updated: Mozilla Community Contributor Departs Over Bug Handling · · Score: 1

If it's so easy, then why the fuck is it not automated in the first place??

It's as if you never had used a computer. (Using = automating things. Consuming it as if it were a gadget/appliance is NOT using it.)

Or even better: why the fuck does it have to be done in the first place? Why don't they simply stabilize the modules of the API and only force you to change your extension my changing the API version when it's... you know... actually needed??

They've been doing that since 5.0. They automatically check what parts of the API an addon uses against the change list, and bumps the version compatibility if nothing it uses has been changed, otherwise it sends an email to the developer alerting them that this version's changes broke their addon.

Why not have a steering committee or standards body form for electric vehicles with an eye to minimizing the connector styles, and to define charging staytions that account for slow charge, fast charge, and even a couple of capacities of each.

We've got that, just the standard (IEC 62196) has 3 versions, one from the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers), another from the VDE (Verband der Elektrotechnik, a German Electrical/Electronics standards association), and a 3rd from EV Plug Alliance (a coalition of French and Italian electrical companies)

How will you get a smooth, presentable finish?

Sand it smooth? ABS sands just fine. If needed, print it slightly oversize to allow for losses.

Alternative suggestions I hear are heating (heat it up with a heat gun to soften, then smooth it) or acetone (acetone dissolves ABS, so use a little bit to soften it and then smooth it).

The patented design allows semi-TRS plugs to mate with standard jacks, but does not permit the connection of standard headphones to the Apple design--what people will actually want to do, given the poor quality of the usual bundled earbuds.

From my reading, a full male would work with this (the female end is basically like a trench or ditch on the outside of the device), just half of the connector would be sticking out and held in place al a magsafe, but a semi male probably wouldn't work with a full female, as nothing would hold it in contact.
