The simplicity of Go actually makes it seem a bit inelegant when people play it--namely that it is not self-evident when the game is over. I'm not necessarily saying that this is a flaw, although people sometimes continue playing games whose outcome is already decided. I think the most "natural" way to play would be to use Chinese scoring rules, and keep playing until every space is filled up, but that would be tedious and unnecessary.
The last two games I got for my Mac, Unreal Tournament 2004 and Battlefield 1942, were DVD-only. For once vendor lock-in on the hardware is an advantage, since one hasn't been able to get Macs with a DVD drive for a bit now.
If the Roman Empire had never fallen, we wouldn't have the special effects that we have today, because there would be no need for fake blood or any such nonsense.
Sounds a lot like mail fraud. Whenever they charge a guy with a white collar crime you hear, "He lied for years! He stole millions from the pension fund! He destroyed the company! He ruined people's lives! And worst of all...he committed mail fraud!!!"
I think his point is that the Constitution limits the federal government to exercising only those powers granted by the Constitution, instead of the status quo which is whatever they can get away with. I'm sure that/. posting is interstate commerce.
Composer is what I was getting at, and the only one I care about. But instead of just adding composer, why not make it so you can set the criterion for each column to any attribute in the song information (even the ones that aren't part of id3 tags)? It would be a lot more elegant I think.
I'd like to know how many Apple employees actually use the one-button mouse. After all, OS X takes advantage of a two-button scroll wheel mouse; Safari even opens links in a new tab if you middle-click. And using X11 programs with a one button mouse is just pathetic.
You know it's funny, when the G3 Yosemite came out, one of the advertisements for it featured Halo (which was a Mac native game at the time). You'd be lucky to get even a double digit framerate in Halo on a G3, though.
In other words, the in-game graphics in Warcraft will look like the cutscenes :)
It's funny--Westerners are more likely to have heard of Go, but Shogi and (especially) Xiangqi are WAY more played. Maybe it's Hanziphobia.

Except that Google doesn't post dupes a week later :)
Surely Santos L. Halper is a responsible adult!
Tin foil, of course.
In computer terms, however, we pwnt teh shit out of smallpox.
I like Bedrich Smetana, but that's audio.
Every time you hit a nail with a hammer, Schrödinger kills a kitten...

Brak's mother said that the world would be a better place if we'd all just spend a little more time on the toilet.

Yes, but in the profound reasoning that is Christianity, suicide is worse than murder since you can atone for murder after the fact, but not suicide.
The real question is...will it support sidetalking?
It's a feature, not a bug. After all, you're only going to get pop-up ads in a browser broken enough to display /. correctly :)

He must be talking about haxxxor.com
Bush: Terrorism! Terrorism! Terrorism! Terrorism!
Kerry: Vietnam! Vietnam! Vietnam! Vietnam!
Badnarik: Freedom! Freedom! Freedom! Freedom!
"What do you do?"
"I produce synergy. And books on how to cheat at Bridge."
Seriously though, just because you don't feel a thing doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

Doom 3 is coming out for Mac, though there is no word on when.
