I guess the potential to cause brain damage is higher but I want to learn things a la matrix style transmission to the brain. That would be awesome but I'd probably end up an even paler stringy geek with no life. We'd all just sit in front of our computers trying to make it download what we've learned and trying to download into ourselves random things that catch our interest.
You don't need an airplane to cause terrorism. The real terrorists are the people who use the can and take a big dump. Then these people leave with out flushing and leave toilet paper all over the seat. There are also the people who pee on the floors in front of the toliet or pee on the toilet seat.
Then there are those people who don't wash their hands and give you food poisoning.

You have a valid point but I still think that if people were able to learn C the quality of what is avalible would be better as well as more programs for operating systems outside of windows.
I still miss the days when computers were programmed using things like basic. I think if computers nowadays came with programming tools and a programing booklet with every box the world would be a diffrent place. People would write what they want instead of companies writing what they think we want or what they think they can tell us we want. Seriously think about a world where every curious kid could get their hands on a programming book and start to code. I started dabbling in simple batch files and worked my way up when I was younger. I'd still like to learn some real languages because i don't think basic counts and I don't know C but I've learned to use php and other things but being able to get your hands onto any sort of code gives you new respect for the computers. Except for VB. VB is the devil and I have to take those classes for my minor:(. I wanna take C and C++. If we got rid of VB the world would be a happier place as well.
I had an old 286 which I first learned on that burnt out. It probably had at least $50 worth of gold on the board. Heh my dad had to solder ram on the board by hand to get extra ram. Those were the good old days before people answered ads to increase penis size and sent their bank account numbers to nigeria.
the ones around here usually will pay like 2 cents on the dollar value of the computer to hall it off scrap them and sell the parts. Remember some of those super old computers used to use gold in the circuitry to because of its conductivity.
I go outdoors. Its just that my outdoors has a much smaller space between said doors than everyone elses and I can lock everyone else out of my outdoors. I am also protected from rain and other elemental problems.
My Grandpa saw some test bombings. He was a really cool guy and I wish I got to know him better. He died of cancer when I was really little. I remember my father telling me what was happening and me not completely understanding whats going on. I never got to really know him and the rest of my grandparents I have left aren't worth knowing.:(
I would but I have a problem getting insured for that and getting good lawyers. Plus the market is pretty slim no one wants to get their own attitude readjusted.
Why don't companys just change their values instead of trying to screw people? There was an article about bad customers on slashdot earlier and I think a bigger problem is poor treatment of customers. Seriously look at all the marketing where there are large rebates instead of just marking the product down to a more reasonable rate. All the rebates done hoping the people won't be able to collect on them later. This isn't exactly friendly business. Large companies who's values are supposed to be integrity and people are firing their workers and trying to cut every corner just to raise their own stock options. Wouldn't it be better business to make better products and hire people from the countries that you are selling to instead of making products that break and sending your money to other countries. Aren't large companies in effect draining the economy that they are trying to tap with their current business plans?
I think business should just try to do a few things to improve their products.
1)Make things right the first time. I can't tell you how many companies I've stopped buying from cause their products are flawed.
2) Value people. Give friendly customer support and stop trying to give every excuse in the book not to work. If you offer a warrenty you should honor it for everyone and not just big business.
honestly I like games I can't help my self. Unfortunately I'm very turned off on spending more money on any counterstrike titles after the fiasco of Counter strike: Condition zero changing hands so many time the product marketed was no longer the product delievered.
There were a great deal of people who were expecting new models and weapon and when it came out they were disapointed. There weren't new models with the game originally all there were was the single player game. New models came out later with steam updates and as to my knowledge you have to use steam to get the updates and you can't do it if you just want a stand alone version for offline only. Counterstrike CZ was ment to have single player capiblities but you can only upgrade through multiplayer.
In my opinion Counterstrike source will have to work much harder to get back some of its jaded audience. If the original title was not as strong as it was there would have been a greater loss, I feel.

Doom was my introduction to multiplayer gaming. Actually Doom 2 was because it took a while for someone to buy a modem for the computer I was using.

Most days I honestly have no idea what day it is. I think you should learn PHP :-D its actually pretty easy once you get used to it.

they will most likely sell it all to a salvage yard. They might let some employees pick at it but I doubt it.
