I guess the equation is simple, to keep it up for longer than the fuel inside lasts (which isn't that long) you'd have to launch a rocket with spare fuel. That rocket would already cost roughly as much as shooting the capsule up there did.
Move where? There's not exactly many interesting places up there. These things would most likely just get in the way, especially since they won't remain up at the altitude the ISS is at (the ISS needs fuel to prevent deorbiting after all).
Are you sure those were raytraced and not just rasterized? I didn't see anything that required RT in SC and rasterizers render much faster than raytracers.
Of course it'd be nice to get similar performance but currently raytracing is orders of magnitude slower than rasterization for the same scene and all those things you really need the rays for tend to be really awful for the performance too. It might be feasible to use raytracing in realtime already but the scenes you can display at a decent framerate would be much simpler than the scenes we're currently getting with rasterizers.
In conclusion, cheaper, faster and better is always good but rarely attainable.
Must be your local version of protestants, I've had a protestant preacher tell me the Bible is not to be taken literally. Generally the catholics seem more fundamentalist and conservative thqan the protestants here.
For instance, if a new species of bird were to arise on a dormant volcanic island, and then the volcano were to become active and wipe out the habitat, this would cause an extinction without needing to invoke natural selection.
Well, in a way it selects against specieses with a limited habitat.
Yeah but the religions are so diverse that unless you use "belief in unverifiable claims without evidence" as a dividing trait it's hard to consider all religions one view.
I don't think Jazz Jackrabbit has much in common with Sonic the Hedgehog, there are those booster tubes but the fact that Jack uses a gun instead of jumping to attack completely changes the game dynamic to the point where the average player won't see much of a connection between them.
If you feel like overdoing it I'll add that you can even use MS Paint with just the keyboard. I don't think anyone would want that but it's possible. When you start using non-Microsoft programs you'll probably still need your mouse though.
Apple has two hurdles for being a major game company: Too few games and too high a price. The too few games problem is mostly chicken and egg so you have to jumpstart the cycle by making your own great games that sell the platform (and you have to have a great game with good marketing that uses your features if you want them to be a selling point). Price wise I don't think Apple has a chance, a system that's as expensive as a home console plus a subscription fee can't feasibly compete with one that costs 130$ (or whatever the DS currently goes for) and I don't think it's realistic to drop the price enough within a reasonable timeframe.
I don't think many productivity applications use shaders at all so we're most likely talking about games where lack of performance really kills the main goal, having fun.
It would be a free speech issue if they said "you can't advertise viagra", it's not one if they say "you can't do so by bulk email". Freedom of speech does not include freedom of carrier.
Individualism? I don't think civil disobedience is about that.

I wonder if they ever tried C&Ding Mt. Olympus...
Gah, could you please use nearest neighbor next time you rescale a sprite?

At least you can wear Guy Fawkes masks while doing it.
Of course, man! God made us creatures of reason so that we abandon that reason and embrace faith without questioning!

Why can't we say the same about the universe? At least it conflicts with fewer laws of physics.

dd-mm-yyyy is pretty common, probably because that orders the units from smallest to largest.

Most spam originates from botnets which use the connections of other people for their bandwidth. Also wasting time is considered damage.
They use kids to deliver that at minimum wage. Pretty lossy method, you'll often see piles of ad mags dumped behind bushes.
I only heard of hat tricks in Football. I heard it's kinda like a Killing Spree in Unreal Tournament.
Interesting, it's the other way around where I live.
Batteries? Don't you think those high voltage lines above the rails have some meaning?
Perhaps it would be useful for mining equipment?
