Yeah but what if you still have a perfectly working copy of XP around? High-end gamer rigs are usually custom built and therefore not eligible for OEM versions anyway, can as well keep using your old copy to avoid costs and the problems that are plaguing Vista users.

TA didn't require more CPU power than was available to consumers. If you have slightly older hardware you're toast, SupCom's framerate hits rock bottom. My PC has pretty much exactly the "recommended" specs but five minutes into the game it's already slowed to a crawl.

Of course you could just play Spring which has much lower CPU demands.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was no actual cap and instead they looked at relative bandwidth usage among their customers, if everyone on that plan uses 250 GB and one guy uses almost a TB they'll complain to that one guy but if all of their users do almost a TB they'll either make new infrastructure or think about abolishing the unlimited plan. Could also work in the reverse, they have a certain amount, as long as they don't have many users they don't care about a few heavy users but as they get more users they need to make more "room in their tubes" and try to cut down the heavy users.

Another question would be if they're actually allowed to cut you off (for more than the rest of the month) or if that's just empty threats, since they don't want to mention a limit that sounds the most likely for your specific situation.

Yeah, regarding porn the most you can instill in them is an absurd sense of guilt which I'd consider psychological abuse. It is forced on them, just with psychological violence instead of physical. Repeatedly telling a child "if you do XY the big man in the sky will punish you for all eternity" will burn that belief into his mind since the child is meant to learn from the adult about the world around it. If the adult teaches a distorted world view the child will accept it since it knows nothing to question it.

Steam using multiple connections would be nonsense, the only reason that gives you more speed is because the server wants to share bandwidth equally between connections and GetRight makes you a greedy asshole who takes up bandwidth for five (no idea why servers aren't set up to limit speed per IP). If everyone tried to take up that much bandwidth they'd all get an equal share which is the same as or less than (because of overhead) before.
