Work with your platform, not against it. Don't try to force a genre down the throat of a market that doesn't give a crap about it, give them a genre they actually want. Market analysis is a part of doing business and if you ignore it you shouldn't be surprised if you end up bankrupt.
A mediocre sports title from EA will still fly off the shelves; a mediocre sports title from Bob's Country Games Bunker will languish on Bob's own downloads page.
The difference is advertising. EA spends millions on advertising, without it their games wouldn't sell either. If an indie dev could cough up for the ads they'd see a lot more success than their non-advertising peers.
If I wanted to make a complete simulation game that beats Spore, how long would it take?
Some titles just shouldn't be touched while your company is still small. Work on titles that fit your platform and wait until you've got more ressources before you branch out.
You can make a game as a one-man dev team provided you're not expecting much beyond SNES graphics. Sure, it won't sell millions but you didn't invest millions either.
I think they are charging roughly 5$ for the games on the iQue. The system remembers what you've already downloaded and allows you to redownload as often as you want if you had to delete it because you ran out of space.
Hudson says they're working on getting third party Tg16 titles on the system. Not sure if any third parties that don't have their own consoles already said they are supporting the VC.
while the NPC just spit out her script, never taking a moment to ask "what the fuck are you doing!?"
Ubi claims that the NPCs in Red Steel will notice if you goof off and react insulted. They also claimed that they will include masters and such who will react insulted at the slightest sign of disrespect (even expecting you to take a bow using the controller).
Solid Snake was already available as a character in the SSBM knock-off Dream Mix TV World Fighters, which was released for PS2 and Gamecube. His special move was to attach a remote-triggered C4 charge to the ground or an enemy. I assume that move will be present in SSBB as well.
Megaman already appeared in some Capcom fighter so they already thought about his moves. If Capcom were to agree to Rock (and maybe Roll) appearing in SSBB that'd be quite cool. Since the console seems to allow online updates (they talked about "pushing new chracters to the system during standby" during the conference) that might even get added afterwards. Viewtiful Joe would befitting but less likely. Konami might give Nintendo Simon Belmont or the Moai (they love putting the Moai in any cross-franchise game. Maybe because the sheer thought of a stone head beating well-known mascots to pulp is just too funny).
No, they'd run into Nintendo's patents that way. I think Immersion even has a patent for rumblepacks with a different motor assembly than Nintendo uses. Sony could do it like MS and license the tech or go without it.
The only game I played that used them is Star Ocean 3 and all it used them for was annoying the user. There was one dungeon where you had to press one button in four different ways to make different sounds with a flute. If you mess up it spawns enemies. It's just frustrating.
the fact that the vibration is removed could have just indicated that it's a hack job
I think the patent trouble is the more likely explaination, after all they have to license it either from Immersion (who are still pissed off because of what Sony did) or Nintendo (fat chance).
Of course they are aiming for retro, how else are you going to play NES, SNES and Megadrive games? Though I'm not sure how theyplan on making N64 games work with this thing.
I hope you're joking. Deus Ex ring a bell? System Shock?

Not? Popcap seems to make decent money from that.

why was I fired for 'incompetence' after spending 6 months on/just before handing in important project X
Rockstar Vienna was working on a project that was two weeks from completion.

But Atomic Bomberman supports 10 players, too. And LAN.
I find it funny that people are "literally creaming themselves" over anything. Ewwww.

And? After someone complains it's usually fixed.
BTW, shouldn't it be "Homestar Bunmaker"?
A robot, as always.
They bought the entire company because they wanted Battletech, Shadowrun was just an extra.
Are you sure you aren't confusing Redemption and Bloodlines? Redeption was the earlier game of the two. Or did you mean to write successor?
Virus scanner?

It could assume that you are holding the blade away from your body. Should work for most situations.
There are probably dozens of japanese studios working on that already. I hear the remote controls the tentacle.

I just hope they're giving us Ridley.

No, they'd have to keep an eye on him all the time so he doesn't build a tank out of the cardboard box and a roll of toilet paper.
