I once had a friend who was a psychology major. She asked me, "How can you study computer science when there are children out there being abused, and women out there being raped?"
Because computer science makes our lives better and thus reduces the likelyhood of child abuse and rape. (This argument only works if she accepts the argument that poverty and/or unhappiness increases the likelyhood of that sort of depravity.)
I have lost *ONE* file on floppy disks. That's all. Just one. I realize that I may have been more than a little bit lucky.
Granted, floppies are by far the least reliable storage method that is commonly available today, but they are still highly reliable.
Of course I deliberatly chose my digital camera and MP3 player so that they support the USB mass storage mode, so they are my new floppies. (A pen drive is only usable as a pen drive, might as well pay a few bucks extra and get an MP3 player instead.)
Just make it radio control via some highly unusual method. For instance, you could "transmit" data by intermittantly jamming GPS signals, and as your bot already has a GPS receiver no one would be the wiser.
Nobody would pay for that. They'd look out the window instead.
The question is paying for quantified data from entire regions and predictions.
Our tax money is used for the collection of much of this data and that (if nothing else) ought to be freely available.
How long will it be until someone writes a script to apply for hotmail accounts and then fill the mailbox with 250MB of /dev/random?

For most people the distinction makes no differance. They only know (or care) about the fact that they can't do what they want with MythTV.
The pcHDTV card doesn't AFAIK receive analog broadcasts. So if you want both in your PC you need another card.
...with no roof. (They probably don't have trees either.)
You're assuming that they only surf from their game machine.

...if you are going to the data recovery company to get your data back.
You should always have a backup that can be restored without relying on some other company's schedule.
Space Taxi?
You'll have to dig up a C-64 or an emulator though.
In the original draft it was "property" not "happiness".
I'm going out to chase a car now.
What is "Jumped the shark?" ;^)
I was sick of having to dig the original CDs out of the pile of papers/CDs/cats on my desk.
Couldn't you redirect the results of your cat commands into a text file instead of printing them out?
Can I invent a new word?
SpectrumSpam?
RadioSpam?
EMSpam?
Mods should be forced to demonstrate that they have a sense of humor before they gain the ability to moderate something unfunny.
Yes, this is offtopic.
They'll probably blame Bush for that.
Make sure that the hard path kills them. They'll get the point.

If I can hear it, I can copy it.
*GASP* But you lose 0.005% of the recording quality in the digital->analog->digital transitions!
What word is always pronounced wrong?
Google returns a result for "5777364 john kerry", but none for "5777364 george bush".
Hmmm......
Then you can write your own driver.
The parent post's point is difficult to discern if you don't know that.
I'm going to assume that you all know what "sqm" means.
But have we got any other significant recent examples of this business model?
