    This being /. I am sure the people here should be able to run their own openID. I use for now still http://siege.org/phpmyid.php [DEPRICATED] and it still works fine for me for logging in on many sites, including this one.
    I have not looked, but I am sure others will be available or just re-write it to whatever you want.

    I have done the setup of the 2 pages myself because I do not want others to be tracing me.

    And quoting out of context, the speech does say: "In a sense we've come to our nation's capital to cash a check."

    On a more serious note: he also says : I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their characters.

    I would say that day has arrived. His dream has come true. We can honestly say that his kids are brown-nosing assholes. Not because of the color of their skin, but of the shitty content of their character.

    There are plenty of computers that you can buy for under 100USD. e.g. the RaspberryPi and MK802 are two. Both can be used for Internet and email and word processing and many other things.

    But perhaps you need to be more specific what you expect.

    that's why anything expensive you always carry on yourself and never check it in.

    Sometimes you will not be allowed to take the expensive stuff as carry on. e.g. camera equipment. That goes easily in the thousands of dollars very fast.

    What I heard a person do is take a flare gun (unloaded) and put it in the case and then fill out the forms that there is a firearm in the case and you can bet your sweet ass, they are doing almost everything to not loose your case with the firearm.

    90MPH is 145KMH. That is slight over 130KMH that is allowed in many places in Europe. And you do not need a Merc to drive that speed. Almost any recent car is able to get up to that speed.
    I drive it on a regular basis with my 1400CC 8 year old Beetle.

    When you drive in Europe, you should also switch lanes to the right if you passed somebody. That way when somebody is passing you at 250KMH (155MPH) on the German Autobahn, they can. That way when somebody drives 90KMH (56MPH) like big trucks, they drive on the right lane (left in some countries) and people can easily pass.

    The speeds differences of 20-25 MPH (30-40 KMH) you panic about are already standard in Europe and using speed limits on the cars will do nothing to change that.

    Boiling water is 100C, Coffee is made with boiling water.
    Some degrees less by cooling and you get to 85C to 90C. And that is what I would expect coffee to be and that is what it was.
    So unless she ordered an ice coffee or they made the coffee superheated in the container or threw the coffee in that persons lap, I would say stupidity from the customer.

    If you are stoopid enough to put that in your lap in a moving vehicle, then that is YOUR fault. If I spill my milkshake, I do not expect them to clean my car.

    If I burn my lips on a flaming sambucca, who can I sue? And yes, the burn were horrifying, but that is not related to the fact that it was HER stupidity. One again:
    1) Boiling water is hot
    2) Coffee is made with boiling water
    3) A moving car is not stable
    If those three do not make you able to deduct that you should not put coffee near your person in a driving vehicle, then you should be labeled as a person unfit to do their own purchases.

    If you tell someone to go to a website they either search, or type in the name and add .com

    There are several things that go wrong.
    1) People search. Many have no idea where they should enter the website name
    2) People do not listen. They will add www to it no matter what I tell them to enter. Oh and don't ask me if there is a space. When I spell out something, I will TELL you if there is a space.

    In Belgium you can add yourself to the http://www.robinsonlist.be/ and not get any calls anymore. This needs to be refreshed after two years. A list like this is European law.

    For the UK i found http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/index.html that says:
    It is a legal requirement that all organisations (including charities, voluntary organisations and political parties) do not make such calls to numbers registered on the TPS unless they have your consent to do so.

    It should not be relevant if it was advertised or even if it was a known feature. What happens now is that manufacturers are saying : I have changed it, pray I don't alter it any further.

    Sure, they will get away with it because of the above excuse you mentioned, but that does not make it right.

    Sure and management will never change.

    Furthermore, the problem with this type of defense is that even if they are infringing on your patent, you can not do anything about it, because they will bury you.
    This makes them untouchable.

    If it is only so others can't sue them, why don't they release it to the public? That way you they can still use it at defense.

    Why fixed pricing? Why not supply and demand?

    When I go to the movies, I never go during the first week, but rather as late as possible and if possible on a Sunday afternoon, when nobody goes anyway.

    That way I have most of the theater for myself. I do not even go with friends who disturb me during the movie. We can talk other times. I just spend money to watch a movie so I want to enjoy that movie.

    That way I have seen some famous movies, like LOTR with (per movie) 5, 8 and 0 other people in a 250 seat theater. Time I wens was Sunday 12:00 or so in a student city. When I went out, there were many waiting in line.

    To answer myself about supply and demand, that is what they are doing. They are not interested in letting as many people see the movie as possible.

    Your 2USD to my 12USD means that they have to get 6 people in to make the same amount in income (not profit, income) So if 5 people are not willing to see the movie and 1 person is, they are already making that 12USD. Sure. 5 people did not see the movie.

    Added to that limited movement. When I see how much I myself walk around, it is very easy to understand why I am fat.
    Just look at old pictures. The one thing that you miss is cars.

    Where it used to be that every family had a car (and before that only the rich ones) now every person has a car. I noticed the difference why I used to take public transport and then buying a car.

    I live very near a station, and work very near a station, but still it would add up to about an hour a day, including the wandering around at the station for the train to come.

    I eat the same, but use less energy now, so now I am fat (and have myself to blame for it).

    No usually. The law says 2 years. (Batteries 6 months)
    I used to work at a hardware company that sold extended warranties when the time went from one year to two years. The extended warranties were a nice extra income for the company. When the change to two years came, they just calculated how much less money they would make and upped the prices a little bit and made the same amount of profit in the end.

    When you meet an engineer that has spent a good chunk of his life working on some innovation and itâ(TM)s stolen overnight, you get a good feeling for what [intellectual property] loss means.

    If you are worried about people stealing your intellectual property, don't have any intellectual property.
    There already is a solution for that AND it gives you the advantage of using the code of all those others that were working on innovations.

    Dear management: Next time you send us on some forced team building where we learn how a team is better then an individual: come with us and listen.
    Now apply this to other things as well, like multiple companies. Suddenly we are a team working on a solution.
