I get them free at work. Just add my name to the list and you get an apointment with a nurse at a specific day and time. Takes all of 10 minutes.
They are not obligatory as the company can not enforce anything medical, as they are not a doctor. No idea how much the company pays, but I am sure that it is not much or the profit of not having sick people is worth it as they are cheapskates.
I do believe that many did not so much voted for Trump, but against established politicians. The problem is that you have a two party system, so that was their only option. I live in Belgium and have a multi-party system. First this means more choise for the people and more negotiations for the politicians. That excludes extreme measurements.
Once in a while, politicians are politicians and then some protest party will rise and get enough votes to get elected. They will be a minority, but still a very strong signal to all political parties that they are doing something wrong. They will adapt and most of the time those parties will devolve into nothingness. They are often parties with a limited interest in things and might say upfront they will not vote on certain subjects. e.g. only voting on environment, but not on defense issues. Or privacy (thing The Pirate Party)
They are a sort of political valve. Sometimes these parties grow and stay (e.g. the green parties)
These type of voters have no where to go in the USofA.
Now for the bad news. They still have nowhere to go. As long as you have the two-party system where winner takes all, do not expect it to improve. The US is going to a Feudal system where the CEOs are the new Kings who divide the plebs among themselves.
When you look at history, the fact that people had anything to say at all is an anomaly.
Unfortunately we live in an era where we can say the Earth is Round, and Nazi's are bad and have it seem like a political statement.
The two examples are two different things. One is a fact, the other is an opnion. It is one that I agree with, but still an opinion. And even if I do not agree with the other, it is still a fact.
In Belgium every company who has 50 employees will have union representation. Every adult can be a member of one of the many unions, regardless if the work or where. A company will have generally representatives from several unions. You can join a union like a gym. Quiting is much easier than quiting a gym.
Nobodycares if you are union or not. (Except for the representatives). They will have meetings on a regular basis. This will include things like improving the cafetaria, increase in bonusses and the budgegt for a Xmas gift. Also could include fiering policy if more than e.g. 10 people get fired.
And whatever is decided will be for all,not just the union members. I do not have more or less right by being a union member. (Being a union rep would be a different matter).
Almist all of my rights as an employee are due to unions work over the last 100 years.
And here I am in Belgium. I am a Union member and I do not think my boss, let alone my company, knows. They do not even care.
There is a difference. I am in a Union, not a trade-union. The second is more like a guild.
A union is there for the people, a guild for the jobs. I have been a member for many years at the same union, regardless of what company I worked for and even when I had no work and was unemployed.
I have no idea who in tne company is union, except for the union representatives. I can join one as easy as joining a gym-club.
To me the Tesla accident is very much the fault of Tesla. They market it as "Autopilot" being very well aware that people would think that would mean that you do not need to do anything. And why not? They are not pilots, so no need to know what a pilot knows.
Marketing companies are paid to know what impacts specific words have, so they MUST know what "autopilot" means to the general public.
Friend of mine studied IT and had COBOL because of the Y2K 'issue' so that getting a job would be almost guearanteed. The minor issue was that he would have finished mid 2001, so the world would have been burnt by then.
He dropped out and did (what was then possible) the job search without a degree. Just saying "I know Internet" was enough in that time to get a job. Many people where "promoted" to IT manager after they put up their hand when people asked in a random meeting"Who owns a computer?". Their first meeting in the new function with the CEO was: "We heard a lot about this Intertube thing and you must do this fore us. You have no budget and 3 weeks." Ah, the good old times when knowing 'telnet' and 'ping' was enough to be called a guru.
The thing is that lack of critical think has absolutely nothing to do with left or right. There are plenty of excamples where the left does not think and people are indoctrinated. There are equally plenty of indoctrinated kids to the right.
No only Chairman Mao would be proud, Adolf Hitler would be as well. Just as plenty other "leaders".
Occasional is bad enough. I have seen a childporn image once. Not something I EVER want to see again. If I wod see such images occasionally, Iwould need help. I am a very stable person. If you are not seroously affected by it, you have issues andd need even more help. And I am not talking about a girl that is kust under the age of consent.
Bad passwords a very good reason for hacking. Obvious hacks are the most important ones. It does not make it ok to post the bad passwords.
Also not OK to not inform the hotel.
And a small explanation as to why I think that these easy hacks are so important. It will make it clear for the hacked person that they need to think about what they are doing. Security is not something technical, it is an attitude.
To often I see people who bever think about security. They just go along with it, never understanding why.
Looking at the image where finding what each item is, is the problem. Finding a solution is hard.
I have seen call scripts fail, because they did not have the (obvious) "Ido not know". Doing it wrong is worse than daying you do not know.
The story here is not that it did not know what an elephant wad, but it did not remember what a chair was after seeing the elephant. Like forgeting you wifes name after you lookeed at an other woman and she is next to you.
Well, I remember when I was in my teens and 20s, I died from alcohol every weekend at least twice. (Living in the EU, so nothing illegal) So that might influence the numbers a bit.
Now I die every weekend from cardiac arrest because of the fact that my kids behave like I used to do. So that influences the numbers also a bit.
The stroke is the cause of the little death or La petite mort. That has not changed that much over the years. (Or what stroke where you talking about?
So you agree with buying cheap first and if it breaks, buy expensive. Where you went wrong was buying the 'bit more expensive' part that is neither cheap nor quality.
Or would you have bought a 100USD belt if the 10USD belt would haver lasted?

Who was "kicked out"? As far as I can see, nobody was kicked out.
I do believe that many did not so much voted for Trump, but against established politicians.

This is nothing. The next one will be worse.
Especially not on a Tuesday at 3.32AM.
Hey, did they also not make Zyklon Bee?

Either you work for the redundency department of redunccy, or you are serious about your second question in which case the answer is yes.
North Korea, officially the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has the same isssue where people do not believe that they are a democracy.
Also: the political spectrum is not a line.

I understand the US does not like to look outside their own garden. Yet the rest of the world does not have worse occupied courts.

Luckily I only saw one image.

The sport is free, the competition is copyrighted.
Ah, the joys of being an early adapter. I miss it. But I miss not having money less.
Asuming they drive the same car, maintanance will have increased.
Fort tjose interested in start doing this. Remember that income is not the same as profit.

It would make tax evasion harder, not impossible. Opening a bank account in another country is pretty easy. There are also other ways.
