Actually, there are junior high and high schools that are realizing the experiential approach works better, and are changing their methods of teaching. And they're public schools, believe it or not. So please remain the idealist, help us spread the word, and maybe someday all schools will be like this.
a blonde is trying to earn some money to go visit her parents so she decides to do some odd jobs. she goes up to this one expensive-looking house and asks if there's anything she can do for some cash. the owner says "y'know, you could paint my porch. here's a hundred to get the stuff you need and i'll give you the rest later."
2 hours later she knocks on his door and says "all done! but i think you should know that it's not a porch. it's a ferrari!"
"Classical music probably costs a bit less given most of the works are already composed and perhaps, depending on the arrangement, royalty free, and then probably costs a bit more as a more performers -- in some cases whole orchestras, choruses, and opera singers -- are required."
In addition to paying more performers, the production costs of a high-quality classial recording are astounding. You need to find a good-sounding room that can fit everyone, enough microphones to adequately capture all the instruments, and something that can record all this at once.
New Hampshire has lots of ski resorts. The restaurants and hotels of the state end up paying resort and meal taxes, and all the visitors to these ski resorts (in a good year they come from Europe!) end up paying a LOT of taxes. In addition, the state operates the only liquor stores and tolls certain highways.
well, part of the key thing is that apple allows you to register as a developer for free, and they give away all their tools and docs, unlike microsoft who charges you a few grand for the privilege of developing windows software.
nothing stops them from hitting pause and buffering everything until they get back. or installing speakers in the bathroom for that matter!

Multicast? Are you sure? For this to be advantageous, basically everyone has to watch the stream at the same time. To stream to different users at different times (which is usually the case) then you're basically talking about unicast again, which is the current model.
For live broadcast audio, that's exactly what you want.
if you can afford the extensive equipment necessary to maintain that lifestyle, you can afford to hire some lackey to cart you around in a see-through backpack.

and so on and so on...

"Unions are for blue collar whiners who refuse to adapt to the economic tides."
Then why are there teachers' unions? Airline pilots' and flight attendant unions?

leave it to me to ignore the subject line
