i second that. prednisone makes you feel just as shitty AND it's habit forming. i could understand using it if it would save your life (i almost needed to take it for that when I had mono) but otherwise it's not worth the risk.
Republic credits are no good out here. I need something more real!

not all athletes are or were jocks. not all geeks were picked on in high school. not all geeks have to resort to ridiculous generalizations to make a post on slashdot.
You know, one of the handiest things is when IE5 on the Mac would put a download's URL in its comments field, so when I show someone the latest dumb Flash meme that's spread throughout the universe, I can show them where to get it.

Two out of those three articles give specs stating 40GB hard drives. The article summary given by the submitter is wrong, as are your definitions of the words 'cite' and 'fact'.

The other players--Apple, Atari, Commodore and others I'm forgetting--were mostly better in that they generally used 680x0 CPUs but they still weren't particularly decent. They certainly wouldn't have run NeXT's software.
NExTs used the Motorola 68030 or 68040. HP and Sun also used 68k cpus at one point.
iTMS isn't the first in the download-for-pay market, though. I doubt Apple's leadership would let the store eat through all their money before killing it anyway.
My brother writes insanely complex software for NASA, and his degrees are in aerospace engineering, not CS.
I should think that if you have multiple degrees in aerospace engineering, you've probably had more than one encounter with MATLAB or something and so programming is not such a foreign concept.
Several of the mechanical engineering students at my alma mater grumbled to me about having to learn C.
I was speaking in more general terms than this particular case.
Friends of mine have run into trouble with this sort of thing, unable to obtain unemployment benefits mostly because of resistance from the former employer.

a book about directory assistance doesn't sound all that enticing

grow up.
actually, in dr. seuss' "the cat in the hat gets grinched", the grinch develops a "darkhouse" which is the polar opposite of a light house.
unfortunately, after the cat reprogrammed our hero with prozac and christmas carols, the results of the research were lost! curses!
hah, apple doesn't need to hire astroturfers. they work for free!
welcome to my freaks list!
i can't imagine what it was that i have done to deserve this honor!
no, but it would have made Waking Life and Bakshi's Lord of the Rings a lot easier.

RTFA, the article summary is wrong.
the $43 million was not given to the taliban. at least, according to what colin powell said

they can say things like "oh, then you won't be needing this severance package/continuing healthcare/unemployment insurance"
