They intrepreted the results to fit there needs. Had they looked at total number of searches they would have gotten better results, maybe seeing the same total number of searches, but everything else increased.

The Problem is that, this law is really unenforcable. Atleast, not to the point where it is financially practical.
The only way to stop it is either to build better programs, or not to go to sites where this stuff begins.
I am a lucky one, I DONT (as in not 1 piece) get SPAM. I dont go to these sites and I stay clean. People always forget, the internet is just like the hooker from Thailand. They are both dirty and before you use them you need protection.
I have taken apart many hard drives in my day. The best ones are old Unix ones. The magnets in the HDD are huge. Sweet toys. I spent a good week at work taking multiple old HDD's apart when I was a student and my boss watched me and was amazed in how fascinated I was in doing.
Take it apart, you will never regret it.
Security is but an illusion. The safer you feel, the more likely you are open for attacks. There is no best way, easy way or cheap way to avoid this.
It is only then, do you truely feal safe. And in being safe I mean clueless.
Get some good insurance and when something does happen, bilk a large multinational corparation for the cost of the problem. Probelm solved.
Until Insurance companies try to get you, then you are really screwed.

The question I pose is that why werent the buildings designed to withstand a SUBSTANTIAL Huricane. It is not hurricanes are a new danger, designeing buildings not to be able to stand up to direct hit isnt a smart gamble in my books.
