    i also have a server collocated in the newest china telecom datacenter in shanghai which cannot access wikipedia either. sucks but tor works :D

    i'm in shanghai on china telecoms adsl line, wikipedia is blocked for me, and it was going so well :( i used it for creative research almost hourly..

    back to tor i guess

    nothing new here, china has been doing it for online payments for the last few years, some are activex, some are javascript, some are java. but all i know is that they piss me off from a usability point. but in this context of a voting booth i guess it would be touch screens?

    lets hope not, but as some of the comments for that video suggest, it might be time to boycott, btw they missed all the business in the UK from what i hear 1 cam for 7 people. i wonder if they will get the chinese business.

    yeah i agree, i hope universal can say 4:1 thats $:! so for every x people that viewed the movie, expect x4 more people to see the complaint!

    life sucks and i was watching the reruns of serenity on my home entertainment system this week also, from my pirated dvds.. btw F.U.Universal thats a bit FUU!

    as much as i don't believe in feng shui; some of it does serve a purpose with common sense, in design we do have things called balance and these are represented by different shapes with different weights when they have an equal mass, not only shapes but also colours have the same impact, just draw a neutral Grey box inside a Green square and a neutral Grey box inside a Blue square. but simply standing back and analyzing what isn't right can be done by anyone, but understanding why it isn't right takes practice and education. like take restaurants, you dont want to put a mirror facing the door as people's psychological impression is theres someone there, feng shui attributes this to 'loosing wealth out the door', also say you have a long Bar thats narrow (pub type of bar), you dont want to use patterns that attribute to the fact that its long, you'll want to break up the area with different patterns or furniture.

    all these things can be applied to a website, along with page layout can be applied, a really good read of this can be found in "the Zen of CSS design" - this was a very good read for both technical and design principles.

    can they bug fix the https implementation?
    currently you connected to the https server and establish the encryption
    send encrypted request headers
    pull encrypted website

    notice your session is already encrypted before the headers are sent? ya now think about vhosting on one ip address

    as a developer also, are you going to push the updates out for IE7? (not just to legit versions of XP - so i can use IE7 without going to your site to download it) if so when? i ask this as currently we'd have to wait 4-5 years before ie7 actually makes it predominant and we can actually implement things we can't do with IE6 out there.

    you know you could always buy gecko from the OSS and fix all our problems instantly and come out a winner! think of all that money you could save on developing a lesser product!

    i have the Sony GRT30 it comes with a giant screen, what i've learnt from such a big laptop is this:

    fucking burns the thighs! i got perment scares from the heat
    heats up the lcd to make it none functional
    fan gets noisy after a year (yes yes i do occaisionally clean it out
    the weight of the lcd when its on your lap forces your arms to push down on the front to keep it balanced resulting in throbbing pains
    expensive to fix

    i am now going back to a desktop and getting a tiny laptop to just move stuff around

    thats my experiance

    i think the main question going through everyones head is: how do you prosecute a corporation. sure money hurts but it can also be made back in a few days. now putting somone in prison (not a country club prison) that was responsible seems like a good idea, prehaps the authorizing manager.

    i'm on both and i'm in shanghai, this is awsome news for us, i get alot of information from wikipedia via tor and we all know how slow tor can be, zh.wikipedia.org is also unblocked. the site is being filtered, but atleast i can still access other information.

    luckily it didn't proclaim to be the first linux phone, since the e2800 has been out for some 3 years here in china, i should know, i worked on the graphical interface - first phone to use photographs as icons i might add, great phone poor distribution, hey same price!
