    Very well written. Couldn't agree more. I don't see why people think that just because you want freedom for people doesn't mean that those people are free to do ANYTHING. That's just crazy talk.
    So what _I_ consider freedom some people would not. And that's really the point. It isn't an absolute thing.

    Good thing about the patents. So what if evil companies doesn't want to use free software? Do we really need them? Look how far we have come without them.

    It's not getting any press because it's useless.

    Everytime I've tried I get the message: "Your email address contains illegal charectors".
    Of course this is the fault of , but it does mean I cannot use this feature.

    At home I use the "." as seperator. Even stupid admin checking an email-address, knows that "." is a legal charector :-)

    Using http://www.spamgourmet.com/ is also a wonderfull thing :-)

    We've had this in denmark for a loong time, doesn't seem to be a problem.

    The police can ask for this information:
    Name and address
    My birthday

    What are the baaad policeman going to do with those information?

    Did anyone notice that first they are going to make the users run some of the open source apps on their windows?

    Then the change won't be so huge, when they switch from Windows to Linux. All of their apps will still be right there. The browser and mail-client being the most important.

    Some people get angry that good open source apps are being ported to windows, but really: It's the best(only?) way to do it.
    It's must easier to switch if you can take all your base^H^H^H^H apps with you.

    Wrong. I've only been a parent for 4 month's (her children 3 and 6).
    I have a palm, the oldest ask: Can it play games. I answer "no". It's a lie. It won't hurt him. Lets pretend I said "yes". He would have begged me to play it and I would have said no every time. He would be _very_ sad. I have gained NOTHING and he would have gained nothing.

    Children are not adults. They cannot (always) understand logic reasoning. But of course I avoid lying, if possible.

    Some places in Denmark work the same way. Sucks big time.

    A intersection near where I live is worse yet.
    I needed to cross both directions, so I natually pressed both buttons and took the first green.
    Having crossed one way I waited for the other light to go green. As I waited it became green for the cars but not me?! Argh, didn't I press the button i thought and looked at the pedestrian crossing on the other side, which was green. So you need to press it on the side you are going to cross. Crasy.

    If the cd costs the same then as it does now. The actual price has fallen quite a bit.

    In denmark at least salery (and costs of food, rent...) go up 2% each year.

    So the price has gone down alot. The price in denmark for cd's go up all the time. It's about $20 right now.

    I haven't bought one in a loong time(2-3 years), because they just use my money to buy more laws.
