    The thing is with cable with 10 people on it, if 9 of them are downloading, fat chance of you checking your email.
    With ADSL, the backhaul is more than likely far faster than the individual connections added together, so no speed degration for anyone.

    Its all about where the bottleneck is, and 99% of cases its the bit closest to the users.

    ANZ's electronic statements get stored for 7 years. While its not as good as the direct transaction history (3 month max), thats still pretty good.
    Oh and the 3 month max also applies to exporting to a large variety of formats including csv.

    I doubt Webkit would do any better than MicroB on the N900. Remember that its processor it half the speed of most newer phones.

    And no Gecko is not inherently slow and bloaty. Put any experience you have with desktop Firefox away because it doesnt quite apply to Fennec or MicroB.

    Erm...Why do you want a Webkit browser?
    Its got essentially raw Firefox and all its capabilities.

    As alternatives it has Fennec and Opera as well.

    N900 is pretty good. 3 core updates (I think) so far plus a upgrade to Meego when it is finished.
    Also half the price of similar phones.

    The N900's screen is considered one of the best available even though it is resistive.
    No screen door - it looks incredible and many people have said its sensitivity is as good as or better than most capacitive screens.

    Oh and it comes with a regular slab of plastic stylus.
    Fits really nicely in the case and gives you extra accuracy in Angry Birds. :)

    +1. Its a phone that you own, not the telco.

    Want to install a custom kernel driver which gives raw camera access like a DSLR?
    Sure. They wont stop it. In fact some of their guys helped work on it. :)

    I found it pretty easy to find.

    Also its far cheaper than other phones of a similar calibre which is nice. :)
    Tad older, but it can still run circles around the latest phones.

    There was that test on a large group of audiophiles who couldn't tell the difference between stupidly expensive cables and coat hangers.......

    (Btw pretty much all jeans are made in the sweatshops. Some are better quality but dont kid yourself on their origin)

    Then you clearly dont know what the swap file is for.

    Hint: Its there for stuff your computer doesnt need anymore and who's memory can be better used elsewhere.

    Browser based exploits are generally considered remotely exploitable for user devices. They can be placed anywhere on the net.

    Good luck getting this one to be exploited via the browser automatically.

    That sounds fine from a incoming point of view, but how on earth will your computer send a packet to a IPv6 host? The host wouldnt have a IPv4 address so it wouldnt get anywhere.

    Put Linux on your computers.

    Not only do you get IPv6, but in the case of the XP ones, a nice speed boost too.
