Now it's up to Macromedia to add a volume slider and it would be perfect, right now I have to change my computer's volume levels to control it, very annoying (google's player has a volume slider)

If there's a volume control I'm missing on YouTube, please, tell me where it is... (mute isn't good enough)

    Upload truecrypt files

Open source, cross-platform, creates a strongly encrypted file that the program can mount as a real HD, you can mount it on any platform, does transparent encryption (for example in WinXP, it mounts itself with a drive letter, you can throw stuff in directly just as if it were a real drive, and it encrypts as it goes in)

    http://www.truecrypt.org/

You can do it in say N meg chunks or something, I guess you'd have to create a new truecrypt partition every time, but I don't really know much about it, just tried it out and it seems neat

By using this link to get to the story ;-)

Interesting to note the default "google" keyword for the address bar puts the sourceid=firefox in there

As an aside, for those who want to make their own custom keywords (and don't know how to), here's an example: Bookmarks->Manage Bookmarks, click on any of the bookmarks under "quick searches", click new bookmark (top left), I made one for acronyms using acronym finder.

    Name: Acronym Finder
Location: right click here, copy link location, paste (/. chews up the link)
    Keyword: af
Description: You can put whatever you want here, it's optional

Then you click ok. Now when in firefox you can just search for acronyms by typing af + the acronym, for example: af HTTP

For other websites that use a link similar to the acronymfinder one, just insert %s where your query would go. In my example it's in Acronym=%s. You can also note the other default quicksearches that already exist (ex. slang for urban dictionary, dict for dictionary.com)

A couple things, if you can't find where to get the windows version (the windows port page hasn't been updated yet) it's here (with GTK)or here (without GTK)

Second, if you want bigger text for everything since the default is fairly small, make sure you install No Theme (or anything BUT the WIMP theme) and then goto your C:\Program Files\Common Files\GTK\2.0\etc\gtk-2.0 folder and edit the gtkrc file with notepad or something and change the one line from sans 8 to say, sans 10

There's a few more things I like to do to mine but it's all personal, I thought I'd throw out those two things though.
