Not all of them, mind you, but there are a handful of people who seem so far removed from reality and that actually fit into the "35-year old unbathed computer nerd living in parents' basement" stereotype that it makes one wonder where we as a society have let these people down.
Don't blame society because someone's parents didn't kick the lazy kid out on his arse to find his own way around this world.
"Son, you have a car, a nice computer, and a cell phone. You need a place to keep it all now."
You are so correct. The acting in this movie was pathetic.
Seriously, George Lucas doesn't give a flying fsck who pirates this movie - he's still a billionare.
And just in case he starts running out of 100$ bill toilet paper, he'll also be releasing all six movies in the next two years in 3D - so he'll be able to milk the StarWars cow a little bit more.
I was amazed they even suggested they were going to be BC and yet go with ATI and PowerPC hardware.
I was expecting another PC turned game console when the XBOX II hit the market - just beefier hardware and maybe some whizbang features like wifi that seems to be standard now.
Microsoft going with non-pc like hardware was the answer to xbox hacks and modchips, which I think just pissed them off enough to drop pc hardware. I don't think they know how the market will react to the XBOX being the only nextgen console that isn't BC.
Come'on you all know what I'm talking about, don't be a chode about it.
1,000,000,000 bytes != 1 Gigabyte, unless you put a little legal disclaimer on the box so you can sell smaller harddrives with big numbers on it.
So when I plug my 160GB hard drive in, linux, windows, and mac all say I have 152.66GB - this is the screw I don't enjoy. And no - it's not all lost to formatting.
How utterly naive are you to defend the necessity to break a law in one country to view content or post content without the fear of getting your skull crushed in by some miltary police batton?
I don't think I read any post that said Chinese people are stupid.
However, a lot of Chinese people I know are enjoying US residency and are coping with freedom very well.
The fact that end users can circumvent these technical hurdles with encrypted proxy streams or alternative sources of access... doesn't mean the traffic isn't still getting traced.
Lucky you posted as a coward... I actually RTFA you dolt. Here's a clip:
Google Web Accelerator uses various strategies to make your web pages load faster, including:
Sending your page requests through Google machines dedicated to handling Google Web Accelerator traffic. Storing copies of frequently looked at pages to make them quickly accessible. Downloading only the updates if a web page has changed slightly since you last viewed it. Prefetching certain pages onto your computer in advance. Managing your Internet connection to reduce delays. Compressing data before sending it to your computer.
This sure as heck sounds like accelerating a website (no matter what speed internet connection you have) - including dialup.
A local ISP is selling a service like this for $5/month... Google offers it free and offers a much larger caching engine.
Apple was still building Newton 2100's for a big company up until recently. This was because they had a long term support and deployment contract with this company.
Wish I remembered who they were...
But as long as it's profitable for the manuf. and the company buying them can still use them - why not?
For gawd sakes keep this story away from my wife... I'd hate to get forced into doing laundry or some other helpful chore around the house when I could instead be fraggin' the heck out of some anonymous sucker.
I filed a patent for turning the lighted water in a toilet bowl yellow.
What kind of stupid moron thinks this patent is worth the paper its written on? Is there a large market for lighted toilet water? What kind of competition is out there?
IT will be good , but it apears your gouvernment did this totaly half arsed, I mean you can't just force everyone to upgrade if the TVs cost a fortune , In the UK it will mainly be Set-top-boxes as they are relatvly cheap and you dont need a new tv
My government does everything half arsed. The government should have never been involved with this in the first place. Let technology and capitolism move the market... why the eff does the government come in and put a kill date on analog? because they get lobbied by groups who want that bandwidth... fsckers.
10 years and they still SELL analog only TV sets. I just bought a nice 27" flat analog TV to replace an old one of the same size. Nothing digital even came close to the price I wanted to pay.
I don't plan on upgrading until the prices for digital TVs are at a reasonable level - so far it's just whizbang new shit with whizbang stupid high prices.
How long until a Nintendo lawyer jumps up and smashes a [?] and grabs the magic mushroom of large lawsuit?
Does anyone have a < / i > I can borrow?
Thanks.

Moo... where are my 3D glasses?

Hard drive manufacturers screwing over customers? Why, who would have thought?
1 billion bytes equals 1 gigabyte - since when?
Dropped MTBF right after reducing the 3 year standard wrty to a 1 year - good timing.
Now this?
Wow what a track record of consumer loving...

So what if more people in China have broadband... most of the content of the Internet is monitored and filtered by the Chinese government.
Score one for the rest of the free world.
Some days I just get too excitied about new stuff... Snarf!
3. Can I use Google Web Accelerator with a dial-up connection?
Dial-up users may not see much improvement, as Google Web Accelerator is currently optimized to speed up web page loading for broadband connections.

Wow, this caching technology has really improved the load times of google ads. Rawk on!
This is great news for dialup users that are being charged for this service through their own ISP.
I agree - that game is crack on a DS...
Stupid little games are fun as all get out.

As always, take this with a grain of salt.
/.
If I had a grain of salt for every time I've read that on
For gawd sakes keep this story away from my wife... I'd hate to get forced into doing laundry or some other helpful chore around the house when I could instead be fraggin' the heck out of some anonymous sucker.
Everytime I hit one of those I get a virus... would that work the same way in a toilet ad?
Oh yeah - I think I just saw that one on TV.
Don't try to trick us, we will know. We are strong we have weapons.

And then had its wallet stolen.

I get banged as a Troll? Have you listened to your leader attempt to speak? Buy this guy a speach class forchristsakes.
Too many brain dead republicans with moderation points on slashdot...
Damn it.

...is the same way that a baby's random babbling eventually becomes the proficient speech of adults.
Obviously these scientists will need to study George W. Bush's basal ganglia, or lack thereof.
