  2. Google ad revenue boost? on Google Is Serious, Chrome 13 Hides URL Bar · · Score: 1

So what...now I would need to use "google" to go to any site I want if I only used chrome? This sounds like a huge boost to their ad revenue streams. I don't understand why you would want your url bar gone...what if I want to access my router, my ip camera, or an ftp site. Granted, there are many other ways. This just seems silly. They better provide an option to turn the url bar back on, like the menu in firefox 4. However, I don't care that much, since I don't use chrome.

It's not a question of morality at this point. However, questions of sovereignty and committing acts of war without congressional approval arise. At this point, it's a question of economics. Can we afford to do this? NO...period...end of story. We're flying on credit. Personally, having my military flying around the world on the whims of a world political body without any checks and balances is more than disconcerting. My country's national sovereignty and solvency is way more important than an internal dispute in a sovereign nation that poses no threat to my country. You can go hire a private military with your own money to dictate how others live their lives. Stay away from mine. Insightful? idealistic. Reality must factor in at some point.

Especially not because of CO2, which is a common byproduct of most lifeforms on planet. In the grand scheme of things we are truly insignificant. any extra we put out just means the earth can support more plant life. I see this as an opportunistic piece to point at and convince people of the new terrorism. I'd be all for a cleaner environment and conserving resources if it weren't wrapped in sensationalist tyrannical agendas out to control the population.

I fear I might already feel that moment when you adjust to the sensation of gravity fading away.

The game has an intro story and game play period that lasts about an hour or so depending on how you play. I'm guessing you played this game very little. I'm about 15 hours in and it is an awesome world with many options and little cut-scenes once they cut the umbilical cord and let you play the game. This by far my favorite game of this genre this year...and maybe for the last few years.

  15. Re:Department of Orwellian Reasoning on G20 Protesters Blasted By "Sound Cannon" · · Score: 2, Informative

What is their problem with the G20 meetings? Losing national sovereignty to world political bodies that circumvent individual country's political systems and constitutions by setting policy that directly affects the lives of citizens without being directly accountable (ie:voting). That is my personal problem with these meetings. The EU is an example of countries losing national sovereignty in this manner. It starts out with trade agreements like NAFTA and progresses from there. The punks that get the media attention you speak of are generally provocateurs. They are planted to give a rational for the excessive force the police exercise on protesters. That is my opinion though. Honestly, if the protesters want to express their opinion, they should be allowed to irrespective of the validity of their arguments or what they want to accomplish. Basic human rights are being violated, and everyone is debating on whether the protester's viewpoint is credible.
