Now listen tough guy, they might do this crap called "reading the articles" at whatever 2-bit forum you hail from, but this is Slashdot, and that kind of shit just doesn't fly here. Why, you're liable to get your ass kicked saying that kind of shit around here. You know, figuratively. Well, you will receive a stern talking to and your grammar will be painstakingly critized. At the very least.
That really doesn't mean anything. I've seen that error box many times, apparently randomly. Try it again and likely as not you'll get results.
Or were you just trying to be clever and hope nobody noticed?:)
You know, I think the appeal of that movie is the unintended campiness of it. Of course it wasn't realistic. It was the epitome of all the Hollywood BS cliches about computers and "hacking." I think that the references are awesome in a sarcastic, tongue in cheek way.
No, the Russians never sent people to the moon. Neither has Virgin Galactic. Yes, cosmonauts have died. So have NASA astronuats. Virgin Galactic has NO track record in space, becuase they haven't built anything that will take people there. Tell me why you think that they will do the job so much better than the folks who were FIRST in space.
???????
My mind is reeling. You beleive Virgin Galactic would be more reliable than the Russian Space Agency? Russia has sent missions to the moon. Russia is active in space and has been for 50 years. Virgin Galactic has never launched a damn thing. Burt Rutans little rocket-plane barely made it out of the atmosphere.
Maybe they will, they probably won't. I remember the rumours about Dreamcast and it's supposed DVD drive. Even after it came out people were speculating about a possible upgrade to DVD. Remember how the PS2 HD, which wasn't packaged in, took off like a fucking rocket? Yeah, this'll be just like that except even better.
I apologize for the heated reply, but it seems your experiences in Boy Scouts and mine do not coincide. The Boy Scouts is hardly a homogenous organization, and it seems to me that the environment of any specific troop is highly dependant upon the troop leader and the community that the troop services.
You're full of shit. Regardless of what you can dig up in any official boy scout document, I know better. I've been in the Boy Scouts. I have friends who were part of the Boy Scouts. The handbook mentions God by name. If you don't beleive in God(yes, the Christian one), you will be ostracized and eventually removed if you don't come around. Troops that aren't like this are the exception, not the rule. Oh, and I live in Washington State. That's not exactly the Bible Belt, is it?
Sure, that's correct. But you didn't mention that the involvement of the ESA consisted of the "piggy-back" probe Huygens, which has already completed it's mission. Cassini was designed by NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. I don't know about all of the instruments on Cassini though, I beleive that there are many nations represented in the various instruments on board.
I am also surfing right now on a free dial-up connection in Western Washington state called NoCharge. It's not an ad-supported thing either, just a regular PPP connection with an anonymous login. I know that they also offer service on the east coast, but I have no idea how they are able to provide this service. Anyone else familiar with this company?
Hahahah, that's a good one. Apparently that link logs you out of Slashdot. Fucking clever.

sho' nuff.
IPX? The Novell network protocol?
It's ok. Being on /., you might have forgotten this, but conversations don't always have to be arguments.
YFI. It's a script. That's why it doesn't make a lick of sense.

Hey! That's freeze-dried ice cream, you insensitive clod!
VRML is dead. Long live VRML.
Nero Express != Nero. They are very different peices of software. "Watered down" says it alright.
Not unless it includes the phrase "good riddance."
That's bullshit, +1 Funny is +1, it just doesn't give the poster karma, as it should be.
I really, really would like to know what the people who modded this fellow "Insightful" were thinking.

Yeah, sure they do. And child porn. Mostly the child porn, though.
Come on. I mean, sure it's a troll, but that picture is fucking hilarious!
Wrong topic there buddy. You want the next one down.
