I've seen that some people who generate their own power, by it hydro-electric or solar, can actually generate so much power that they can then sell it back to the electric company and by paid by the electric company for it.
In the video from Solar City, as Tesla endorses them, they show the power meter moving in the other direction and then getting a credit from the power company.
Ever since Eric Schmidt was hired, fired and paid off, then brought back, Google's 'Do No Evil' policy has flown out the window with little hopes of return.
He is more profit over quality and does not care about what that does to Google's customer's. They use nothing but Apple products in their daily lives, instead of Google products to improve, and this is one of many reasons Google has down so far down hill.
The current Nexus tablet line with Kit Kat has profiles to make it a lot easier and with custom launchers to show only what he needs to see and not accidentally change things.
An iPad is about the worst thing to get an older person as it's options aren't really intuitive on how to do anything, at least in my opinion and experience doing tech support for so many years.
Also, a good lightweight case with a kickstand/prop is a must.

First: One of thier first myths was about cell phones at the gas pump, so there's no need to do this, as it's already been done.
Second: Myth Busters is a one hour long show, not a half hour long show.

I tried clicking on the link from Firefox for the MS AntiSpyware crap and Firefox wouldn't allow without me allowing temporary access with a possibly invalid security certificate.
Anyone else having this happen to them?
How can we even begin to trust a company that can't trust itself?
This was a nice thought of sorts on the writers hands and is a good wake-up call to make people upgrade their outdated sites. I did a simple google search and found 2 sites that were hit by this anti-santy worm. I wonder what the admins of these sites are going to tell the people they work for?

This reminds me of that guy who paid a butt-load of money to Russia for a trip to the ISS but had to stay on Russia's side of the station. Is the US going to doing space tourism of their own now? I thought we built most of the ISS anyways?
Space is the future but the past is closer to the truth.
...look at quickstart guide when it's not obvious how to turn it on?
Most things are simple, only time I look at the directions are when it has "insert slot A into slot A1 to slot B1 before inserting into slot C3 but after inserting into slot A2."
So that explains those weird attempts to access...

How Can I Trust Firefox?

While I was still using Firefox 0.10 I noticed strage behavior with Firefox constantly trying to access somwhere in Asia. I assumed this might be part of an extesion trying to update itself so I told Norton to allow it access. While using a packet sniffer I noticed that this activity could not be decoded by my packet sniffer and assumed even more so that this was an extension trying to update itself.
I have yet to find out what the real reason is behind this and I updated Norton and therefore the logs are no longer on my system.
I ask, "Really, how secure is Firefox compared to IE?"
The article definitely makes some very good points to lacking security with Firefox installation and use.
As a friend of mine pointed out, "If music can be heard, it can be recorded" Most/.'ers know how to record what you hear on your PC and know how to record off an external CD Audio Player.
I also had GEICO right after I got my license and they were horrible. They started me with $69/month since my mother already have coverage with them. I had them for a little over a month when I hydroplaned into another vehicle. I had alot of trouble before this accident and after just getting a live person and had to resort to calling at 3am just to get someone after being on hold half an hour. Several requests to them for fax's and proof of insurance cooperation with local state and county officials which they failed on resulted in tons of court costs which I cannot recoup from them. They also rose my insurance to $339/month after the accident, completely outragous.
I invite you to search google for GEICO SUCKS or similar, I promise you find others like me.
I read this in my PC World last week (subscription in mail) and saw several other sites reporting it.
To those mentioning Firefox and AI Roboform, I'm also having problems with it and just went with the one built into Firefox.

Seems that google is doing some good things while making other things not as good. Google suggest is an example of starting to do things right. This is probably related to the new MSN Search Beta and other sites like teoma competing with google.
I tested out Google Suggest by typing supercal which showed me how to spell supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.
Now, if I want to know how to spell something form Mary Poppins I got Google Suggest:-)
No one I know has had a problem with losing their AIM SN nor has anyone I know had such a problem. Could it be they were testing something to delete inactive accounts and all of a sudden someone hit GO by mistake?
Is anyone surprised at all by this? We all knew Florida was going to have problems but this just goes to prove the current method for voting is obsolete and we need a new one. I am all for computerized voting but it is far from practical use, as an earlier slashdot article pointed out about the company that makes them and how insecure they are. I'm thinking retina scans and biometric scanning, kind of hard to fake those.
OK, we got spyware remover programs trying to keep up and remove 90%+ of the junk and now we got anti-spyware companies joining spyware companies for the purposes of removing themself as spyware? That's crazy!!
I invite you all to see how the whole spyware thing came about on one of the first sites to report on it at http://grc.com/downloaders.htm and also check out some of his freeware to help you protect yourself (Three Musketeers) which are directly on the home page @ http://grc.com/default.htm.
Good Spyware prevention and removal programs which are free, google for them: SpywareBlaster (Prevent Spyware activex install) SpywareGuard (Prevents spyware activity, similar to AV software) AdAware SE (Spyware removal) Spybot S&D (Spyware Removal+)
NOT FREE: Webroot's Spy Sweeper (Good for preventing and scanning, no free version) PestPatrol (Junk Removal for advanced users only!)
Well, it seems like those Brazalians have more than just good nuts.
For those of you that use orkut (a free freinds networks from google, currently in beta), Brazil is nearly 61% of the total users worldwide, with the US at only around 12%.
Most of the users speak English well and are active in alot on software communities of a free, open-source nature.
I think that we in the US need to stop thinking so much about profit and start thinking about the real benefits of open-source and take advantage of those, as so many others have like Red Hat.
