Still Sony's deal, not Microsofts. Microsoft makes the product - If Sony designs their hardware to work best with Windows, then that has nothing to do with MS.
And those phrases and plays-on-words are just amateurish.
Ok, so i TOTALLY misunderstood what i read yesterday.
The big difference between the two countries is that the US banking system operates through the Treasury Department, whereas the Canadian banks only have to borrow money from the Central Bank of Canada (or whatever it is called). This allows Canadas banks to be much freer in how they operate - even though the bank of Canada is much more heavily regulated than the Treasury Department - and therefore allow more of a "decentralized" bank. Only revently did the US Treasury allow banks in the US the be in multiple states - which freed up US Banking to much the same level of Canada.
In my own excperiences, Canadian banking appears much smoother than in the US, and the guarantee that there will be your bank, no matter wher you go (within reason), AND that all the banks work together MUCH butter than here in the states, is awesome.
A pebble compared to 150k, yes, but thats money out of my pocket.
Ive never used iTunes, but i would imagine you have to pay taxes.
Here in Florida, thats 6%.
My math skills arent up to par, but that pushed each purchase slighty over 1$, and over 300$.
Yeah, not the greatest argument in the world.
But still - if you look at it bulkwise, its still very expensive, especially considering the capacity of modern devices. To fill up an average CD with MP3s, it would cost about 150$, of average quality MP3's, of average length.
Another paralell is cell phone service. In the UK and similar areas, Cell Phones are the bread and butter of the area, and are far more common and efficient than landlines.
However, in Canada, cell phones are pretty rare, as population density in areas like Vancouver are very high, but over the country as a whole are quite low, and cell phone companies pressed to offer coverage to all areas are faced with a rather cost-innefective problem - should we offer cell phone acces in remote areas, which not only are difficult to get to and maintain, but may not be used a lot?
A valid point - but that was because the angle wasnt quite on. theyve done a great job with aiming it at everyone, rather than just kids. And i still stand firm that no matter the graphics, the content is what matters - i got more content out of my GCN than my PS2 or Xbox.
Just look at the DS - its a huge success, and not just kids have it. its about the content - and people are finally realizing that.
True, but you also have to consider the reputation of each console.
the PS3, while touted with pride by their fanboys as a "hardcore" and "adult" system, parents with children probably will not want that for their children. they wil go for the tamer system - the Wii. It has a family oriented direction and parents will like that more than the "entertainment system" appeal the PS3 has.
Good point, but you have to remember, who is the majority? People working tech jobs with no children? Or people with children who dont have that kindof money to spend?
Yeah, 20 year olds might have enough money to one - but how many teenagers do you know who can manage their money effectively? How many 600 bucks "laying" around?
While Europe certainly does drive killer sales, it helps - and you have to remember, the margins for "extra" money are slimming - 600 bucks used to be relatively easy, but it isnt so much any more.
Now, we get to the parents - out in the stores shopping for a christmas or birthday present. They say they want a PS3 - but im sure their parents will hesitate with such a hefty price tag. i certainly would - im sure, as adults, they have somewhere else theyd rather half a thousand dollars. Car payments, debt, credit cards, etc. Many parents will buy it anyways - but how many will not? More than those that do?
You cannot rely on the hardcore to really drive sales anymore. the casual are more significant - and 600 is not casual. just look at standard PC sales - how many gamingmachines does Dell sell? Far less than the casual POS machines tehy kick out the door.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Yeah, we found him all right. Good old AC, for the win.
Its too expensive. Only fanboys like you will buy one. It costs more than most people in a month in europe - its not necessarily "too expensive", its more like "Id rather make my car and house payments".

Good idea. I was actually alluding to that i just wanted both to be in the game, in any format - but i think its a great idea to set it up that way.

Officially thirded. Megaman is one of most favourite series - and you'd also have to have Zero in there as well. Zero you could clone Zero Suit Samus, essentially - hes got long blonde hair, and a saber - just slap some red armour on him and youre set. The Blue Bomber would do well to make a comeback - the poor guy has been slipping lately. Ok, for like the last 5 games. But still. Megaman 8 and X8 where good though.
Id also love to see Alphonse and Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist - its originally an anime, but there has been two reasonably good games released. Id love to see some alchemy reactions in there : )

I couldn't imagine the controls not being perfect. In on the DS, Super Mario 64's camera is fantastic. It just sounds to me that someone is upset their precious PS3 or 360 may become obsolete, and they can't really tolerate that sort of fear. But that's not exactly what were talking about, eh?
What more than likely happened here was he didn't want to embrace something new. He was used to the old way of doing things - and therefore had trouble adopting a ENTIRELY new control scheme. What i would be much more interested to hear, is what people who have never even touched a video game controller would think - of course, with the necessary practice, as with anything new.
I am by no means saying that everything is perfect. I'm moreso saying what i think a good reason would be to be there. In retrospect, thats what i was thinking about, but i didnt really realize it at the time : )
Granted, us being in their countries doesnt make them very happy, but it is not the root cause of te terrorist attacks. The real issue here is that it is part of there culture, their religion, that it is OK to do these things. They are rewarded by death. They are rewarded by blindly following their religion - which all the popular religions do - but it is a major part of their culture to do these things. It is not a part of the American, Canadian, or English cultures to be religious. It is an option, and there are many sub-cultures that support/are focused on religion, but it is not the main focus of the government, or the governments people.
Someone else already said this as well - but im going to say it again becasue they are right.
The governments are corrupted, very corrupted, and they cannot establish one that is not. Whether or not the US is the best country to fix that is irellevant - it needed to be done.
Not only that, but you can also see here the relevancy of seperation of church and state. It works, people; and almost all arab countries do not have this. And if they do, they do not follow it.
I know im going to regret saying this, but the problem of terrorism is not entirely the US/UK's fault. It is the government and important religious people twisting the words of their religion and offering rewards to those who commit atrocities.
Im ready for the negative modders, but people, keep an open mind. You all say you are open minded - but are you really?
Isnt the logical argument:
If no one plays your game becuase they think someone elses is better, Then, shouldnt you make a game that is better than the other game?

Herzog Zwei is an awesome game. I have an emulator that i still play it on from time to time.
To add to the discussion, I think a lot of people are holding out for more information from Nintendo. Nintendo does such an AWESOME job of cutting off all knowledge of their system, and itleaves many people screaming for more - its how hype works. Keep people on a trickle of information, and they salivate after every drop. Give it to them all at once, and they fill up and move on to something else.
Those genius bastards.
Needless to say, Ill be getting a Wii. Nintendo's library is far too strong, and the whole WiFi/Connect24/Virtual Console thing beats the crap out of anything the PS3/360 has to offer - yeah, theyre backwards compatible, but how far back? Not as far as the NES... There are classins out there people are DYING to play again - and with the small price tag, many people will jump on board.
Nintendo may not always be the most successful - but ill be damned if they dont have some of the most amazing ideas ever.
I think those are awesome ideas.
I used to play a game called Microspace or something like that, Where it would use the files on your hard drive to create levels and enemies.
Its a great idea - same general idea as spore : )

Its ok, he must be new here.

How is a Sony Vaio MS's best effort?
Wouldnt that be, like, Sony making crappy laptops?
-Red
Its not the greatest ever, but its certainly better than nothing, hehe.
I just wish they would come out with another Starsiege game - they beat the shit out of Mechwarrior.
-Red
Or am i missing something?

What affect that has on this story, i dont know - im not a lawyer, or a banker.
However, it is still worth noting.
