  1. Idiots.... on Using Lasers and Water Guns To Clean Space Debris · · Score: 1

Do we not have a space station up there, might it not need extra parts of wires or glass or metal, could we not recycle by going to get them using a shuttle and bringing them back to the station to reuse the parts, or even have a smelt up there where we could burn up the metal to create new shapes needed for repairs...etc.

Come on people...let's get with the program...recycling is good and will waste a lot less money creating lasers or water guns or robotic garbage collectors!!!

The best also about this is its free, and comes free with linux also free for those students who cant afford windows. Those who have windows, can install webserver1.0, and run php directly from a home version of xp...dont need pro. So all your needs are taken care of.

I don't think so....I believe if we live in a world where people can make replicas of art
for use in books to show off some art, or even as a fake painting sitting in someone's
den, I doubt the cops will be called out, especially if asked by someone and admitting , "yeah i bought a fake one, cuz I liked the way it looked".

I am a software developer, and when someone buys a copy of windows or office, they OWN it.
That said, when you buy a computer and it comes with a license for windows xp, you can
format the drive as many times as you want...you bought the license, therefor, you do not need to repurchase a copy each time you want to reinstall. You could even lose your cd, use someone elses cd, and when it came time to insert your key and it did not work (because of the OEMs), you could
call M$ and ask for a key, seeing as you have a legitimate license.

Now if I sell that computer, the license goes with it. A game is not quite the same, but
being that you bought it, you could give it to someone as a gift...even though you used your money
and left the store with it...this does not make it your copy, so if there was an exchange of money between 2 people behind closed doors...again it would belong to whoever has it in their hands at that time. Even if I have a Wow account, I can sell it online (ebay) and they would send me money, I would send them the password, they would change all the personal profile stuff, and voila
    the game is "transfered".

Lets call a spade a spade shall we, pure and simple, they see this as A) a loss of income because they actually thought they would (like in the old M$ times) have so many copies sold because
everyone needed their own copy, and this represents an end to that (sort of).

B)They did not think of it themselves, recycle games, send them back to us with all the materials, and we will give you a credit for your next game purchase.

when they rent and this could ultimately lead to someone in the senate to pass a bill that
states if you are being foreclosed upon and that your tenant has paid his rent, either you reimburse his money with interest or penalties for breaking contract, as well as maybe something in the form of a seizure hold for the banks to not just swoop in and pull the rug from underneath them, maybe there could be a leniency time allotted for them to find something else.

Point is, this at least made MORE people aware of the problem, hopefully further up the ladder then just a lowly cop.

Yes in part, but the contract (which you wont be able to google, sorry) stipulates that they
retain any creative copyrights to the music, therefor anyone wanting to use it would have to pay them not UMG. UMG would just be able to make money off of their own record sales (unlimited if they want) as long as they pay a sum of x dollars agreed upon between both parties.

Technically, Metallica could also sell the same album to lets say PDiddy bad boy productions and ask him to resell, and you could have 2 labels carrying the same album...although I am sure that UMG bought exclusive production rights.

An exoskeleton would offer more power to be able to move around freely by thinking about it, and have the proper strength to carry out that action. Lifting a box (not one of 100lbs, but one of 20lbs.)

A publisher pays 10% for a book....I guess you have not written anything lately then.
Google it , you will see , like the recording industry, writers are grossly underpaid
something like 1$ (max) per book, some even as low as a few cents, per copy.

Depends on the contract, I would say though, that even if something like this cost x amount of dollars to produce on print, ebooks cost nothing, they take up room on a server for download, and cost x amount to create from a written copy (from the writer) to a digital copy, which is always done anyways for backup purposes. So again nothing costs money there, no R&D, no materials, nothing,
so an ebook can be sold for 1$ and still make money!
