I got to say, I think China in this instance is being obscene with their censorship, way past the point of reason, do they at least know if an ambassador is talking they are not allowed, or does the app not make any distinction, because it could happen to the wrong person with seri.............
The old music industry business model is dead, and the sooner the big cos get it, the quicker they will find the next big way to generate all their money. Now we are seeing the same with the book industry, all about warehousing costs, and printing costs, well what costs are there really when you hold a copy of the ebook on a server somewhere for download....you have less costs to maintain, less personnel to fill orders, less electricity during winter to keep them warm, the list is endless....I still don't get how the book industry has not woken up to this fact yet, I thought being booksmart, they would have caught on quicker then lets say artists?
I have a friend who is an engineer in charge of the local power co installing charging stations for people with electric cars, they are going through the testing phase, and will be offering some possible formats for house charging too....they are thinking of everything, dont you worry, they will be able to come to your house, and install within a small time frame something to let your car (with specific charge plugging extensions) to charge within a certain time frame based on the technology they are looking at....
I am not sure of all the details, but i can tell you that they will nothing when it comes time to implement this technology...you wont be hearing of last minute recalls (like toyota) of cars exploding when attached to a charging station, or setting your house on fire, they are taking every precaution
Thanks to countries like China, and Syria, and Libya and.....the list is endless, of how many of these countries that want to control the flow of information are breaking the internet as we know it....then we will all have splinter factions of the internet running in each country, and 1 main controller giving access to the rest of the outside world....and controlling what you see in your country, I sure hope NA is left out of this.
This would be a greater monopoly then MS is on pcs.....I think it should not be allowed, and would prove to be costly to users, already we pay more then anywhere else in the world for cell plans, now they'll spike it up even more.
>Telling ships not to leave the port is hardly information that needs to be kept top secret. Deductive reasoning, if any names are used, someone spying (for another country) can tell which are in port, and then based no the sending out of info, know which ones stay behind and which are out to sea, which then lends another fact that they now know how much artillery is sitting at home to protect the coast, and how much is out to sea, should they want to challenge them.
I understand that most people do not consider this very important stuff, but this is basic social engineering 101, kevin metnic who wrote the book by the same name got his hacking rep by more doing social stuff, then actually running shells and breaking down the code. I stand by what I am saying, that should they report the exact location of the troops at the time of the bombing, then someone can intercept them, or other situations....
And having known people that have died over seas in those same places, by car bombs, sent out to locations only know to limited few, lets me believe they don't have a leak (someone on the inside) but more like they have a sharing of location info from locals.
Another reason to move forward in the world and go from old to newer tech., I hate people that do not want to change over from older models....you get stuck with these situations....the US powergrid is in the same boat too.
Now you wont even see any chace seen, all you will see is this drone zooming in on a crouched criminal in some dark alley way in splinter cell mode, with night vision enabled, it would be cool for this to actually happen a few times and make the bad guys know they can run, but cant hide....might lower a bit the crime rate, no?
I heard Detroit was really bad with abandonned skyscrapers etc...could they not use it to convert most of the downtown unused area into a solar farm as well? From what I hear, it is pretty bad down there, they could use a boost to their local economy, this could create jobs for maintenance and also work contracts for construction workers....just a thought?
In all seriousness, the men in black might come after him, and could technically, silence him, as this is major issues (military) and classified and he has no status like that of Assange to help him stay alive....
In China, China decides what China wants, and what it doesn't want, and if you do not offer them a way to do what they want your app to do, they will find a way themselves, and usually not a very efficient way either...
rewind, play, rewind, play, rewind, play... ever get the feeling sometimes that people that are supposed to check content for duplication just aren't doing their jobs....? I did get a great utility to help me with this exact problem, seeing as this is note the first, second , third , fourth, or fifth time we talk about this...but i will let you go back into time to find the links, because i just don't want to waste another minute again on this topic.
I agree with you, except for one thing, MS at no point in time ever really wanted to take care of the problem, without pushing out valid licenses first to those with pirated copies of xp. This said, I know they have the source code, and can send any commands they want at any time to disable x, y or z....so if they really thought it important, they could have done this 10 years ago.....the fact is, they now realize people will NOT upgrade, or change unless they have too, and people do not have to....so if they really want to fix the problem they have to do it another way (this one).....
I often wondered why MS would not have thought more of security then their payday when it comes to this problem in particular....but now either someone higher up is new and younger and sees the profitability of this move, or they are being forced to indirectly.
I agree, when did polygamy become a point of interest to all geeks on/.? What about the latest updates for nvidia's graphic beauties coming out, i want one, where are they, links please, also what about the latest from ssd architechture that promised having 1tb drives soon??? Now thats what i want to hear!
About time, they hopefully will force transfer of all adult content to these domains and ban use of regular domains for adult content.... and then blocking all the adult content would be a sinch for all involved, including the parents of said kids...
This is where you see the incompetence of the defending lawyers, as the judge's claim was very poor....I could have contested that the configuration files that are saved on the router, in order to do backups or restore points for configurations of the routers and all the help pages for setting up your router are considered files that are saved on the hdd (however small it may be ) of the router, and I would have gone further with that claim, that if the said description of a router fails to imply it is also a computer, then most appliances and cars and planes even would not be considered to have computers in them as they hold no info either, which is bollocks because we all know you need space to compute info and most info stays in that space for a time.
I am very uncertain the judge is qualified enough to make this claim based on his sad argument, i am not sure if this is equal to the supreme court level, but I hope it does not parallel our justice system, and get used to set a precedent here..as I would not like to think that after i encrypted my connection, if someone broke it, then would use it without any problems what so ever.
Heck, maybe if that judge had someone using up his connection and bandwidth so he got surcharges from his ISP for downloading all these movies...maybe then he would realize his mistake.....anyone got his address, i want some free internet...
I love democracy , don't you.....the problem came from giving them money, in which now they are being charged with, and the courts will rule however, or settle out of court for another sum of money,......it doesn't buy you happiness, but it sure makes the world go round.
This is one of those situations which could be the best to use as a reason to upgrade, with the help of many other countries who want to see japan get back on its feet, and just get something new going that the whole country can rely on, and make it just one type, but also better the overall situation as future disaster situations can profit from...
I guess maybe that now they realize people just wont pay for their updates and patches anymore, and do not care to upgrade, they have not choice but to pro bono this move to help with the spamming situation. I applaud their effort, but did they have to wait so long? They have the source code to all this, and could have sent this out 10 years ago to all xp pcs....but i guess they think its all about the green backs now don't they.
I guess I can give them points for making the internet that much safer.
This is the better way, alas, I guess being a new market, apple app store, google app store is still new as stores in their own right, I guess they need to evolve some before we feel really secure with them as developers.
Judges like these think they are doing society a favor by ruling in the favor of the big company providing us with enjoyment and play fro a console that they control. He sucks because he is incapable of seeing past his last payoff. If he rules this way, the company gains too much control, and now a list of people that have chipped or modded ps3s fall into the hands of sony who will no doubt use it to cancel any ongoing subscriptions they might have and force them to get new accounts.
Further more, if this is the case, what is to stop any car dealer from saying no on is allowed to fix these cars except us, they r belong to us, so no you have to come to the dealership to get your oil changed else we can sue you. I can't see the point of getting access to his paypal account to see WHO sent him money unless they tend to pursue those people too.....indirectly by cutting off their accounts.
I dont hate apple u douche, I own an iphone, what I am saying if you bother to read carefully, is that why go after google.... why not apple....because apple is the one who is paying for them to go after google....got it. thank you, come again.
Probably some student on an internship, added a usb key to the drive which compromised the machine, which propagated, then sent a signal to the cc and was sent back another bit of code to bypass firewalls altogether and get downloads happening. Other then that, it is impossible (properly configured)....to burn unto a cd or download unto a usbkey from their pcs over there. So how do you getthe files there, they have been alll but blocked off from the internet with firewalls, so someone from the inside had to disable the firewalls, and because I do not think anyone would have gotten in on purpose to do this cyberhacking, I think it was done as an accident or mistake, like someone carrying a usbkey thinking it would work, and not working like they thought but was still able to propagate sh*t through by mistake.
Unless they got hacked from the outside, and then I would have to say, we are all NOT safe at this point, as these guys are the mecha of cyber security and encryption.

Something that makes absolute sense, business and personal.
I like VISA better now...but will this be also for canada?

Yes, but can they add this to a bottle of KY lube, I hate when the friction fogs up my girlfriends glasses.
