The cops in this case had lost control of the crowd (their fault) first of all for letting the situation get out of hand, and then to rely on someone else to regain that control is even more pathetic on their part. Then to top it all off, showing their full incompetence, they arrest the guy for not wanting to do their job for them....because they had no control over him either, they decided "we'll show him who is boos" and slapped the cuffs on him.

My god....we have noobs for cops now.

I do this all the time, because of tigerdirect being the *ssholes they are, especially when they were still overpricing their inventory for the.ca site. At the time when both american and canadian dollars were at par, you would think the prices should be the same, seeing as we are charged shipping and taxes as well...but the canadian site was 10 to 20$ more expensive then american. Soooo...

I created an american account, used my cc, then went to pick it up, and I got free shipping and no taxes to pay.
So for an item that cost me 200$ all inclusive, I would have totalled about330$ canadian for the same item, when both dollars were at par....!!!!

This would be the less abrasive attitude, however Apple seem very snobby these days.
I would send them to a tech who smokes, and in the mean time, I would also make sure to change the warranty agreement, because this one they just might lose big on.

  10. Not all restaurants are like this on Is That Sushi Hazardous To Your Health? · · Score: 1

Yes, NYC is known for finding new ways to scam people, as per we all know to be true, however, being an avid sushi fan AND also having traveled countless cities across north america , I can safely say, this is not the norm.
The findings are inconclusive, they need to be atleast 5 sushi places per city, and about 100 cities in the study to have a proper account for what goes on.
Don't rely on NYC to tell you what the rest of the country is doing, please!
I live in Montreal, where are laws are way stricter then anything in the US, and I have to tell you, it is almost impossible
for them to pass one fish off as another, because they have fines for that too here, and they have
random spot checks, so they never know who they are serving.
There is also a 3 time penalty, after the 3rd time you are shut down for good.

So is every city as diligent as ours, not quite, but I am sure I would not say all of north america is the same as my city either, so why compare it to the few restaurants you polled in NYC???
That is like saying because a prostitute charges 50$ for a BJ in Winnipeg, that all prostitutes ( even in NYC ) should only charge
50$,....we all know that ain't happening!

ps- sorry for the comparison to the prostitutes, I had just read that book "The Price" by McNellan, and I had her in mind.
