good for her! finally...someone that got justice because they got wrongly dismissed for doing something in their mandate just a little different but got the point across. she knew to use caps to make sure everyone would hear them and not have to repeat themselves over and over again.
ps- I tired using the caps, but/. wouldn't let me, I guess the boss just needed to implement the filter like/. does...!
I know, M$ are such poor losers, instead of bringing their game, to a new level, they would rather whine about how much higher this level is NOW because of the new kid on the team...jesus! Google has done nothing but try to improve the internet experience....and now M$ is looking for bugs at any costs...instead of looking at THEIR own bugs, and fixing them!
If I could, I would bitch slap Balmer...and throw HIM a chair!
You always send the duplicate and keep the original just in case, seeing as a memory stick for 2gb..is 5$, i would say you can send 1 keep one, even give another as part of the package!
spam,spam,spam,spam,spam,spam,spam,spam.....incredible spam, lalala la la la la lalalala....incredible spam... (monty python short) gotta love spam...!
After watching the show battlestar galactica where the pilots of those sharp looking shuttles, were doing cool maneuvers, I thought it would be nice to have extreme maneuvers done like that but with our planes....I didn't even know India had an air force, let alone one consisting of the coolest jet! Shouldn't they focus on feeding more of their people though...I always tend to think of India as impoverished, for some reason
When was the last time you went to county jail....can you even say you know what it looks like inside??? You can still have a population of just under 1000 depending on the county, as state is more in the 10s of thousands. As for sending voltage through the machine, read up a bit on KENO and one arm bandit machines and how certain would be hax0rs were getting the machine to pay out by giving jolts at the right time in the cycle...!
Who says it never was at the BEGINNING? Maybe in its time at the museum, someone was able to pull a fast one and replace the moon rock with a fake...??
Sadly, I am sure that many of the employees...would not even consider this type of vector for an attack, and with no regard to safety plop it in and press play without scanning with an anti virus, or even contacting head office and asking them why send a manual without warning. Good one hax0rs
I myself have seen some comments working for a few different companies that would lead me to believe that no one ever bothered checking the code. Stuff like "You suck" or "What a dushbag"... even "Mike doesn't know sh*t"... makes me wonder what the programmer REALLY thought about his boss or coworkers.
Maybe it was meant as a joke, and meant to be removed before releasing, but I am sure I could find a hexeditor and open the app up at any of our suppliers, and see the comments in their full glory!
If the casinos were in charge of making the vending machines, I would say that we have a chance...but it wont be long before the inmates carry special hand made tazers (with 9v batteries) to give jolts to trick the machine into giving whatever the randomness of the chip is a prescription.
I also take it that this should not include the inmates that are too weak to actually go get their meds??? Ask another inmate to get your meds, might not only get them stolen from you, but a serious beating for implying someone as being your biatch
Maybe the way they think to calculate the orbit, size, or even longevity of a planet might be wrong, lending to the assumption that this SHOULD NOT BE. But it is...here is a plain fact...many variables in the universe have yet to be figured out...and many still have room for change. The fact remains, this should not be, so it isn't either they saw wrong or calculated wrong, but which ever it is, we are FAR from being close to having a good science to judge what is "OUT THERE"!
ps- How about we develop the capability to travel out into space without costing billions each time, and then maybe we can start looking at getting a clue how to calculate distances of planets belonging to another solar system 400 light years away...eyh?
These are the people who decide our country's policies, these are the people we trust to make those decisions for us? OMG are we in trouble. I would line up every person that had a hand in this and SHOOT THEM! We are not in the roman times when whatever the dictator said went, and could change his mind at a whim! This is America for god's sake! We have rights and for someone to plainly generalize something of this importance and overall sheer size is almost criminal!
I hope that we can get someone to step in for us, as we are weak willed and very sheep like when it comes to the government deciding for us....maybe if we had a cool president like Arnold...he would put on his shades and tell them all "ASTA LA VISTA Babies!"
You know, when we talk about using products, this is where you separate the men from the children, and gotta tell, you are looking pretty small and immature right now. 1) VSS is the MAIN M$ product in use for code/file repository, as it has the biggest market share for this domain. 2) When you say it does not do anything well, if you are trying to keep your windows clean, nope not the product for you. Trying to keep a good handle on what version of an app you are at, and branching off to select the next builds tasks for code development. It does exactly what it was designed for. 3)M$ does not even use its own product.... ummm... where is your proof dude, I know the internet is full of bullsh*t and I gotta say it stinks right now. 4)As for the cons of this app, version 6.0 that shipped with vb6.0 was the let down in terms of communication within a cross state domain. Problems with connectivity were apparent, and many people used a different client to access the VSS db because of the lag.... however, it always depends how you set up your projects too, if you have a solution/group that has say 20 projects inside and you want to always load all the projects each time...there is a trade to be had, however, just referencing those dlls , and seperating the dev. into projects and smaller solutions to avoid loading such a big project, helps improve VSS performance considerably as far as connectivity goes. Remember, if you have to work in a project to fix a few little bugs, and tweak the design, you dont need to load all the underlying dlls too, so branch off the project from the main solution and work just on that... speed is of the essence.
I know being able to do something is cool, but do we really have to try and colonize the moon? What is the point, I mean really, do we have no more room here? I would say spend more on refurbishing the deserts in south african continent first, and make them plush with greens and livable, before spending soooo much into THIS project.
Having a moon colony is cool, and might be a sort of fail safe should any big asteroid impact Earth, that our society lives on, but we would have colonized a moon, the possibility of getting wiped out from an impact from an asteroid there are GREATER then here, no?
Another deterrent to all who would do things to get them on death row....if the inmate is a serial killer that killed 20 people in cold blood, I would say he gave up his rights a long time ago, when he chopped them up into little pieces, and as for those who were possibly incarcerated on a mistake (identity, bad case etc...) then they would just go down as having made the greatest contribution of all...to society! I say we should all adapt this new policy and harvest all we can from these no good criminals.
>'The car's engine burns liquid petroleum gas to heat water
Ummm....i thought the whole concept of steam powered vehicles, was to get away from using oil or gas to power the sob? I would have thought because the engine gets super hot from the friction that it could have been used to recylce the heat through to change water into steam, but I am uncertain how much oil is used to convert water to steam....especially if it is just at the start, where you need to start the cycle, however, I am not really looking far, I have not RTA.
ps - If the amount of fuel used to steam to water is almost = to what we use in cars today, I guess we have made no progress then...!
I guess you have yet to learn the golden rule, he who has enough gold to give anyone, can make the rules, with his or YOUR company. I wonder how much kickbacks your manager got by signing up with the NEW company to provide the NEW and IMPROVED POS....seriously, this is why so many bad apps and companies are still capable of doing business, they have greasers, smooth over the guy in charge of buying, and gets them kickbacks, and the company suffers a downward spiral, as the NEW app barely holding at the seams is replacing an older but more stable version of the same thing.
I guess as much as I hate to see old dos screens, this is why I respect a company that holds on to their technology, when they need to...and don't jump just because M$ or someone else says to jump.
I totally agree, goto is not a bad thing,...getting reference to the address it is jumping to IS. The problem is when juniors start using it without thinking of the implications of where it is being used especially if you have looping etc... otherwise it is just another piece of code, like if else, or even do while...
I have a small p3 computer, that all it does is connect to my bank, and lets me do what I need to, then it stays off for the rest of the time. The problem is when big companies that put all their trust in their networks being protected, when they really aren't, because all the AV apps out there are crap...and most admins don't know what they are doing....so the company has many holes, to which employees can bust through (either by accident or on purpose) and then cry when they don't understand why they got p0wned.
If you are a financial institution, having banks tell you to harden your protocols should say something. They never really followed the banks guidelines to begin with, thinking, "Oh no...not me, it will never happen to me...we are too _________ for it to happen to us" (fill in blank with your own excuse).
So now the big wigs think they can cry to mommy about their lacking security and the banks or gov will bail THEM out...? I really hope I am wrong when I say "I see them coming" with this one.. I would hate to hear in the news tomorrow, that they want a security incentive or bail out, because they need to ensure their own security.
I hate to say an M$ product wins, but for me and my team(s), I would not go without. Of all the M$ products I have worked with, this has to be one of the best "Can't do without" apps out there. It is very user friendly and easy to use, but the only 2 bad things, the merge is not very good, so I use my manual comparison app to then do the updates....and the SQL to VSS backup is not what I expect, so again I have to manually write scripts to keep my dbs backed up (stor procs, tables, views etc..)
If only humans could come together the same way, we could totally redefine what humans think of as astonishing!
I just hope that IM2 , Thor and Avengers are all still on!

Well done my dear Watson, now if we can just go catch that Jack the Ripper fellow, we could
maybe stray down the lew for an ale!
Seriously, I would mod you up for informative on that one
