Not true. I've had a Dreamcast since it launched, I've been downloading and burning homebrews for it since I've discovered them, yet I still loved and played the "real" games (when they were making them). The homebrews just gave more funciton to my Dreamcast, but it didn't replace the games.

Yeah, but at the same time you hear music that promotes misogynistic behavior and promotes violent and illegal behavior that still gets sold at Wal-Mart stores. Sure they may have cleaned up the profanity, but the themes remain the same.

Also, you can always argue that Grand Theft Auto is no worst for kids than some "James Bond" FPS if played correctly. I'm sure you can play through the game without soliciting prostitutes, entering codes that will make the game pornographic, or even killing innocent bystanders. If they player chooses to do those things, that's their choice. No one forced them, it's just that the game doesn't really stop them from doing those things either.

Actually, they said at the press conference that they weren't going to charge for their online service (for the DS), nor were the going to charge for playing first party games online (it will be up to third party developers if they're going to charge for their games to be played online). I would assume this would also be true for the Revolution. More than likely you're just going to have to pay for each game download.

I do wonder though. How will it be stored? Is the Revolution going to have a hard drive or is it going to have a massive memory card? Will you be able to move a copy of your game to a different Revolution system? What if your system breaks? Or you own more than one system?

Why is it that Nintendo always seems to create more questions than it answers at these press conferences???

Okay. You may not like Ashlee Simpson, but I dont' see how someone who does like Ashlee Simpson is inferior to someone who likes Nicolò Paganini. In the end, they're both satisfying what they want to hear. You are entitled to your opinion that Ashlee Simpson sucks, but there is not reason you should force that opinion on anyone else by insulting their intelligence. I, for one, just bought "Autobiography" yesterday. In my opinion, it is a good album. Why? Simply because I like it. Does that make me dumb? Not really, no. Atleast I'm not pretending to hate Ashlee Simpson just because... There is no reason for me to hate her music when I clearly don't.

As for boycotting RIAA artists... not a bad idea, but I can't do it. I am a very devoted Mariah Carey fan, even if you can find me someone else with an amazing voice just like hers, who sings songs just like her, you still couldn't replace her. I can't replace some of my favorite artists. I will always choose John Mayer over any of the copycats because every artist is different, even if they're within the same genre. So to ask me to give up RIAA artists for non-RIAA artists is like asking a Coke addict trade Coke for Sugar. Sure, they may look the same... but that's about it.

However, I'm always open to trying new artists, new genres, and what not (trust me, you should see my music library, it's eclectic to say the least) and although I can like it more than other artists, you just can't replace another artist.

Not necessarily as the Wavebird uses an RF signal, while the DS I heard uses a proprietary signal (which many mistake for blutooth) for it's DS to DS connections (I'm not talking about the 802.11 connection). I doubt the proprietary signal is RF as, first of all, RF isn't proprietary, and second of all, RF probably wouldn't be very good for wireless connectivity.

  16. Re:DS vs PSP on Nintendo DS Gets Sleeker Final Design, Same Name · · Score: 1

That might not be the case with the DS and the PSP as they are so different I would think that it'd be very difficult to bring a DS game to the PSP. The DS just has more control avaiable than the PSP, and it'd be pretty hard to substitute the DS' touchscreen with anything on the PSP. This is on the hunch that most DS games will use the touchscreen capabilities.

I honestly don't know, but the fact that I heard that SquareEnix is working on Crystal Chronicles for the DS should be enough reason to buy it. Think about it. On the top screen you have the 3D part of the game, on the bottom (which is the touch screen) you have what would normally be the GBA menu and you can connect up with your friends wirelessly or possibly through the internet (considering it is 802.11 compatible).

The bottom screen is the only touch screen as far as I've heard. I remember IGN saying that they made the cover that they put over all of their GB screens extra tough on the bottom screen to resist the abuse it would get from constantly touching it. So I guess you don't need to worry about scratching the bottom screen.

Lightning is teh scary, but very pretty ^_^! Not so later on, I had to do the trash around the area, so I had to go outside again, and I hear an ambulence siren and my co-worker (Paul, who has been working there much longer than I have) instinctively knew that someone was struck... I proceeded to freak out. Again, lightning is teh scary!
