Want to get rid of DRM? Stop buying CDs. Stop going to concerts. Stop buying DVDs. Stop going to the theatre. Cutting off revenue isn't going to be enough, as the industries can simply blame it on "piracy". Cutting off DEMAND would force them to address the true problem.
Two problems: 1) You'll never get enough people to go along with such a plan to make enough of an effet for the movie companies to notice. 2) Even if they do notice, they would simply blame it on piracy, and they would force even more restrictive forms of DRM.

The strange thing I've noticed is that I get the problem when I run Firefox in Windows, but I never get the problem when I run Firefox in Linux. I don't know why, but it just works out that way for me...
If all / most of us geeks out here would forward our daily recieved spam to the DMA would that be enough to possibly educate them on the policies of opt-out marketing? Or would it be viewed as a form of DDOS (bad karma)?
As long as it knocks out the DMA, karma be damned.
Let's hope it hits somewhere in the Washington, D.C. area then, so we can finally have peace on God's green earth...
Don't be so optimistic. As long as there are humans, there will be war.

AOL had live video streams of the presidential debates. You could not see them anywhere on the "plain" Internet.
Not true. BBC News and C-Span both had live video streams of the presidential debates, and I'm sure there were others.
