Get off your high horse. Most people who use an ipod know full well what an mp3 and an mp3 player is. This whole "joe sixpack knows nothing" is bullshit.
It's secret. You show you're ID when you walk in and sign the roster and then you feed the ballot into the machine yourself and then it dumps your ballot into a tub below the machine and prints the results out on an internal tape as a backup.
For the 3rd or 4th election we're using electronic machines that read a paper card. The candidates have an arrow pointing towards their name with the center missing, you vote for the candidate by filling in the arrow. It's simple as hell and older people don't seem to have any problems with it. Dunno why everyone wants a touch screen or something similar. There is simply nothing wrong with paper.
The new state law requiring state issued picture ID is a nice touch too.
On 10 October 2006, SlySoft released a press release: AnyDVD beats new copy protection "Protect DVD-Video"
With the latest release of AnyDVD, version 6.0.8.0, SlySoft has again confirmed its position as the market leader in providing video DVD decryption software. With this version it is now possible to bypass the new "Protect DVD-Video" copy protection which first appeared on the DVD "Silent Hill" (german rental version).
Among other mechanisms, Protect DVD-Video comes up with a messed-up UDF file system, in which an IFO file appears with a zero-byte length on a regular PC. The unsurprising result is that these DVDs will refuse to run on a Windows PC with Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center Edition or all software players that are based on DirectShow (e.g. the very popular ZoomPlayer).
"With this copy protection the film industry clearly overshot the mark", says Giancarlo Bettini, CEO at SlySoft. "The premium customer who spent a lot of money on his multimedia home cinema and who, for quality reasons, would never even consider watching anything else but an original DVD, is being slapped in the face. These customers with their shelves stuffed with rightfully aquired DVDs, can't watch their videos."
This is incredible nonsense! Any Media Center freak will have no choice but to install AnyDVD on his PC in order to watch his original DVD."
"The film industry should actually thank us for taking care of their premium customers so well. Maybe one day I'll be nominated for an Oscar", Bettini adds with a grin.
Background info:
The company ProtectDisc is being run by Volkmar Breitfeld, also managing director of ACE (FluxDVD copy protection). Remarkably enough, Volkmar Breitfeld was previously known for creating copy protection circumventing products like InstantCopy or InstantCD/DVD, before he changed fronts to selling copy protection mechanisms.
you mean to tell me they are going to cut off driver signing for say, intel, who makes a load of video chipsets and is active in the linux community? right.. not only would that be dumb, but it wouldn't fly in court..
I don't know what to think anymore. I voted for Bush both times (the first election was the first time I could legally vote), but now there isn't a chance in hell that I would vote for him.
It seems I have no party anymore. I'm very fiscally conservative, and do not believe in deficit spending, socialized medicine, or the current state of welfare/social security. Supposedly that what's the Republican Party believes in, yet I see no evidence of it. On the other hand, I disagree with the Patriot act, the dmca, torture, domestic surveillance, and basically any government snooping that isn't under a warrant. Personal freedom, and the right to be anonymous are core, as well as the right to own a firearm. I'm also very pro-environment and pro-science, being a chemist.
Oh yea, I hate being PC. If my religion/beliefs offends you, get over it. I'm not going to change what I say to keep from hurting your feelings.
Republican is out, Democrat is out. A third party is a wasted vote. What's someone supposed to do?
That sounds about right when it comes to what pressure the cargo area is at and how the pilots fly. As far as cargo planes not being passenger planes, they aren't, but most of them were at one point. All UPS jets were previouslly passenger planes except the Airbus A300-600, and possibly the McDonnell Douglas MD-11's, but i'm not positive on that one.
I should have been more specific. You're correct that all the cargo areas on a jet are pressurized. What I meant by select aircraft was the small, prop-driven single and dual-engine four-passenger planes that they use from time to time. The cargo area on them is literally a metal box attached on the belly with a hinged door that is in no-way air tight. They don't fly at an altitude where it would matter.
You're far from alone. I've had the same feeling ever since blog became a buzzword.
I basically ignore most of what would be considered a blog or newsboard anymore. They are awash with the ramblings of 17 year old conspiratists that believe they have a better understanding of things than someone with a degree in the subject.
It's just depressing that you have to waste large amounts of time crawling through nothing to find something of value.
Most people I know have both facebook and myspace. I personally can't stand myspace because the profiles are usually too cluttered to be readable. I'm also not a fan of 300 animations and a soundtrack starting up when I view someones profile.

Not sure. Slysoft is based in Ireland I believe so I don't know what the US could do about it.

This was a civial case, not a criminal therefor there was no crime. In these cases theJury decides the punishment.

Those are good points, thanks for the tips!
I refuse to not vote because then you don't have a right to complain.

The main cargo area on UPS jets has standard cabin pressure. The lower cargo areas on select planes are not pressurized.

The line with the 'command' problem wasn't in my original submission.
If you want get into the antitrust law side of things, then look at the actual law.
No matter what your market share, you do not have a monopoly unless you exclude competitors or control prices.

Facebook has a clean, usuable apperance.
You need a valid college email address.
they also have a high school version of it, but i'm not sure how big it is.
