Many games 'quietly' install an unsigned driver without warning you (starforce/securom). If a single sec vuln appears in one of them and you get any damages...
Youve already pressed the I Agree button (in which agreeing that any damages resulting are not their problem...)
I don't agree, users aren't (always) stupid, they are either uninformed or ignorant. They should give a damn about the difference between right click and left click. Especially if using the computer is part of their job! People have to learn about cars and how to drive them if they are used in their job, why expect less for computer users?
I've had terrible experiences with ABIT products, namely leaking capacitors, among many other problems. Most of the people I know have had the same experiences.
They must be doing something right I guess, considering they are still in business. Those new "Fatal1ty" model boards seem kinda dumb though.
Hurrah for Single Player games that require internet connections to play, and require Steam while not listing this minimum requirement on the box! THANKS!
Have you played Max Payne 1 or 2? They both used the Havok physics engine, the same one HL2 licensed to use! id Software wrote their own physics engine for Doom3, Far Cry has it's own physics engine, Blood Rayne 2 and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. are both using the open source ODE physics engine, the list goes on...
I'm totally sick of all this HL2 hype, ESPECIALLY when it comes to "their amazing physics engine". Havok is great, but give credit where credit is due!
I'm still confused why people bring up how "hard" linux is to install, with having to install drivers for stuff! Windows certainly doesn't have device drivers for everything when you install it from scratch, nor does any other OS. Then the usual argument "well mom and grandma have to use it" are moms and grandmas installing Windows on their own? No. Why would you expect them to have to do that with Linux then? Ubuntu and numerous other distributions are becoming easier and easier to install.
They published far too little information about how they benchmarked these games. Just the resolution, and that's about it. No driver versions, game versions...and their so-called.NET version of Quake II is just the C version with the ability to use.NET managed C++ code...but unless they have some magical version nobody else has, it's just the plain C.
Didn't they think that they were getting low numbers for Quake II?! They were lower than HL2, Doom3...I don't trust any of the benchmarks with obviously incorrect results like they've posted.
Did anyone else immediately think of SourceForge when they say the acronym SF used? I know they don't have writers, but seeing how this is slashdot, SourceForge came to mind before Science Fiction did....weird.
Suse dropping support for a previous version (if that is even true) isn't the same thing as Microsoft dropping support for a previous product of theirs. There is a huge difference (two words actually) Open Source.
You can upgrade and/or patch your kernel, you can upgrade and/or patch your applications. You can't do it yourself with Microsoft's products; you have to wait on their staff to create "fixes" or spend more money on third party "solutions".

Right-click on it, click "customize", then drag it into the window that comes up. Now it's gone :)

Did you look into that post? I mean, it's a joke, or to someone who actually believes it, a bad day =)

I'm wondering why they used mp3Pro instead of ogg.

Even though it's an Anon, I agree.

There are way more UI's than XP/KDE/Gnome. What about the MacOSX UI? Or Enlightenment? or XFCE, the list goes on...
Nobody is stopping you from writing support for vcards...
It seems to be a trend with the good low-power high-performance laptop chips, because the Pentium M's sure aren't cheap either...
What does disappaering seeders and trackers have to do with the BT protocol?
You have a PVR500 working with linux and mythtv? Has it been stable?

What the heck did I post? Must be getting tired. I meant, "Did anyone else immediately think of SourceForge when they saw the acronym SF used?"

This is not analogous to online file-swapping; there is no cost to replicating data in digital form. You can't copy a head of lettuce.
This is exactly why I will never play HL2, or any other Valve products until they stop this kind of business.
Ever heard of Blender or Jahshaka?
I find it really hard to believe that site actually has a real publication that people subscribe to.
I remember trying XP Powertoy's virtual desktop manager...it certainly wasn't fast.
