You are so right. We should be pressuring professional atheletes and movie stars for donations! Some actors get paid $20M per movie, for about 3 months worth of "working".

It's so sad to see such devestation. Please people, go and donate at UNICEF it's the least you can do. I mean, if you saw someone fall and break a leg, would you not stop to help? Since we can't go over to help them, send money.

Once you get a two tier system you will never get fair health care ever again. Only those that have money can afford proper care.

You'll get a system like this:

Doctor: "Seems to me like you've got viral menningitis, but your health care only covers diagonosis. However, the good news is that for only an extra $1500, you can get treatment."

Oh, just to keep things in perspective, a simple CAT scan can cost upwards of several hundred dollars. Keep that in mind when you think about a two tier system and whether or not you want to pay for that. Or worst yet, think about someone having a commutable disease that cannot afford treatment and is released back onto the public. Good luck staying healthy.

You can argue it this way. A criminal robs a bank and later gets on a public bus for the getaway. It is not the bus driver's business to ask why the criminal gets on the bus as long as the criminal doesn't cause any problems. Are they going to sue the public transportation company for assisting the criminal?

Or how about the Yellow Pages having entries for fraudulent businesses? Are they suppose to check every listing to see if it is legit lest they want to get sued as well for abetting a bad business.

This is getting way out of hand. Let's hope it just gets stuck in court forever.

I find it sickening that a dictatorial few can deny nearly one half of a country their human rights. By that I mean GWB waging an illegal war where half the population did not agree to.

China is its own country, why should anyone get involved? If they want human rights, they'll fight for it. And that's what is happening, albeit slowly.

The story behind China and Taiwan goes a lot farther than most people here know. For those of you who say it isn't a problem to declare Taiwan as an independent country you really aren't thinking it through.
