Since when have we ever had a level playing field? Every console has it's ups and it's down (from graphics to joypad config). Each one is rather unique in this way. So you will never find two consoles on a truely level playing field.
But again as I said above. Thats a whole lot of work when in photoshop it's just using a simple slider. I'm not going "ZOMG EVERYTHING SHOULD BE PHOTOSHOP!" but there are simple things they really could do with stealing from it.
I know it's not "right" but in photoshop you can just enlarge or shrink your current Brush with no hassle what so ever. I was thinking more along these lines.

I'd also like to be able to control how it reacts to things a little more. Like how it crops anything you use a magic wand on, so you can't slightly adjusted what it selected. You have to reselect the area.
Also it would be nice for windows to be a little less... every where. With Gimp there seems to be about 3-4 windows open and IMs get in the way and such. A minor thing but I would perfer a solid "raise all windows" type option when you click one. But this is a problem with the entire lay out IMO and a good theme could give this.
Filters tend to be laid out strangely. Don't get why.
Basic tools are hard to find.. Where is the stroke option for example. I don't have a single idea where it could be and yet I've used gimp for quite a while doing minor things.
Why are gifs so damn difficult to work with in GIMP? You have to edit layer names to edit the frames speed, surely a "all frames XYZ" option would be useful.
Wheres the "import folder as frames" option as well?
If GIMP has these features it's very difficult to find them.. if it doesn't then why doesn't it have such basic things? This is GIMPs problem. It hides it's secrets when it needs to be showing them like a MySpace camwhore.
Personally I think being able to resize brushs is missing. Quite often I'll need a slightly larger/smaller brush, but I can't resize it. Even though it's a pretty much standard feature in photoshop.

MK is a funny old game though. Try playing the original trilogy these days.. the violence is hillariously B-movie.. yet we had all that screaming over it.. but that's off topic.
If I was the guy sent to play the game I would ask the judge to tell me what to do. I'd be his hands in effect. That way the judge can see anything he likes and I just have to perform it. I see no other reason to pull this off and make the judge feel he saw everything he needed.
No body has time to care any more, we're worked so hard we don't even have time for our children. Why would privacy matter to you when you're already tied to a mobile phone and work 15 hours a day?
Privacy issues won't arise for the general public untill it's them directly affected. They see no reason to care untill they see what happens when they don't care.
Why are they even making a film? The BBC did an excellent TV series about his life, it was not only entertaining but showed his youth which many people arn't aware of.
You forget this is a country who are still more or less in a civil war over varients in a religion.. I think the internet is the least of their worries.
I can't decide if this is good or bad.. on the one hand this means youtube can still use all the crap it does already without the worry of legal threats... but on the other end of the scale does it also set up a president of "we licenced youtube to use the music, you can not access youtube for X dollars a month and watch the music of your choice" and hence making a two tier youtube system..

Why are you so concerned about your job? If you've put so much work into your job that you've neglected your family do you really think you should get full custody of the children?
I know it's difficult but think of yourself second to your kids. Your wife is not "the enemy" she is an ally you're struggling with at the moment. If you're working so hard you can't spend time with your kids don't have them for more than weekends you won't be working.
Some times it's hard to think when you have a knife in your heart, but it's these times you need to.
I some how doubt they can make a profit from this. Bandwidth wise they are being bent over a barrel and buggered. Even if they do sell extra stuff they're still going to lose money. The "only" upside is now their name is known to a lot more people so in the long run they'll make more money.
Also I suggest you learn to grow up a little bit. What happens if a Mom and Pop's site gets hit next? Are you just going to go "ah suck it up you nubs" when their little corner shop dliveries website gets hammered into the ground by people no where near them? Life isn't always "make lemonade", some times it's "You're getting anal raped, no lemons for you". If you can't show some decency then maybe you should look at getting some white coated men to give you some help ya?

In the news in the UK (not all owned by the same guy who owns Fox and The sun) Youtube and Myspace is the new poster child of the internet. Very rarely does a day go by when youtube is not mentioned on something or Myspace is mentioned. It's even got to the point where live quiz shows have hosts giving out their Myspace URLs and giving away free gifts to random people on them.
While in the US it's "kekeke pedos" here in the UK it has a positive image and is doing "good things"
Team fortress classic : I can play a guy in a basement.. except with a sentry gun. What's not to like? Whenever I feel emo I just play TFC and my head clears and I can think things through as I play.
Pokemon games : Don't matter which one, it's all the same TBH. Either way they're great to chill out with and just go for a wander while it doesn't feel like you're just wasting your time.
Mario kart DS : It's Mario kart, what more needs to be said? It's care free and even if you arn't at your best items balance you out.
Devil may cry 3 : Always fun game to perk you upwhen you're down. You get too focused on how difficult parts of DMD are that you just don't care what made you emo any more.
SD Gundam G Generation : Any of the series is fine. Maybe it's the fanboy in me but turn based strategy with characters I adore and lots of little fanboy mecha touchs seems to make the world just a better place. Rather than be a bitch and worry about every little thing the whole world seems to melt away when I realize I can take apart 3 mecha to form one of my favourites, but then I have to decide if it's worth it.. and hence the classic "I'm too busy pondering the useless to care for the useful" situation arises.
So we give it to a guy who's abusing technology to deal with a social problem? Yes I get that teenagers can be annoying, but using things like this could cause long term damage (don't say it can't, we have a good decade to go before any major signs will show up if it rolls out majorly this year). I can see the use at some places but I can also see it pissing off some kids will will go out of their way to damage any places with one of these things to "get revenge".
Either way bad invention and even worse for awarding him a prize for it. People are still people and when we start making weapons to use on 1 subgroup it's only a step away from becoming a welcome against all.
Men have breasts, they just don't develope in the same way. Women's breasts contain fat basicly, where as guys don't contain the same amount other wise we're identical. Men can even produce milk is correctly stimulated..
Let me know how it goes yea? mine arrived today and while I haven;t hit the BIG dungeons yet even ten level dungeons take a while to do.
Plus the online community is great, people trade passwords to help each other out, so if you get bored of stuff you can go rescue some newbie and do him a favour:)

Why don't valve just make it so HL2 on the Xbox is as moddable as the PC version. So mods would run natively on both?

I know a lot of people who would disagree with you. They think cut scenes and graphics are very important.
Personally I think they could probably save a fuck load of space (money and time) if they just did the cut scenes in real time RE4 (Gamecube) style.
