It doesn't effect Windows XP, so Microsoft will just go "You should of updated". Which will lead to more sales of XP by the masses beliving they need the latest OS to "be safe".
You can't directly put something on MY eye unless I get an implant of some kind. As long as I refuse to get any implants then they can't advertise to me..
Sequals are easier to make, that's why we see so many of them.
If little Timmy doesn't have to buy Halo, Half-life and Doom sequals he can buy 3 "not sequal" games. Which then means they make the same amount of money but don't risk annoying a fanbase.
If you flood a market with oranges and then see oranges getting 75% of all sales on that market, oranges arn't running the market, they're bring forced down peoples necks because there is nothing else.
So if we can figure out a way to manipulate this could we not "erase" someones memory? Isn't it possible that we already know all about this yet our memories may have been effected in some way?
I haven't RTFA (yet) but this seems one of them "If we saw invisible people would we even know?" type questions..
Couldn't careless what Sony say. I just bought a DS and it truely deserves to be called innovative. Keep your PSPs and whatever else. When you have a game as fun as Zoo Keeper is then maybe I'll look.
Untill then go back to pulling tricks like this and even the Sony fanboys will hate you
I like your point but can I point out a flaw in how you put it?
To define a lesbian you'd say "A gay/homosexual woman". Why is it suddenly only men are gay and women are all lesbians? Maybe It's something to do with straight men like lesbians but hate homosexual men or find it odd or whatever?
I don't know the answer to that but still think it's worth pointing out. Gay covers everything, no need to divide the sexs, after all Id on't go "hey look a straight hetero man and woman!" do I?:P
It only becomes "vital to the public", when so much of the public has it they can no longer make much money off it.
When everyone has wifi or at least broadband it'll get pushed over to "it's vital", then they'll start slapping it in taxs and the country/state/government will start leeching the money off it instead of companies (Although they're pretty much the same these days).
Don't you dare put me out of line for this. I'm right on target and I ment everything I said. America couldn't careless it threw an A-bomb at the Japanese, why should I care someone threw a plane at them?
I'm not out of line any more then they are, I had a question so I asked it.
I don't get the "brothers in arms" thing at all. Or how 9/11 effected anyone. Maybe I'm odd but I found it laughable at best. Lots of people running through the streets screaming like the sky is falling, so could you possiblely explain it to me too?
BTW, I'm English and not far from London but I had the same reaction. The bombings have changed nothing in my life so I don't see how/why Americans all freaked out over a couple of planes hitting some buildings when they're MUCH further then an hours drive away..
I'm going to be setting up a wireless nextwork for my family in the next couple of weeks. I've never used anything wifi based so I'm a little clueless. So I'm intrested in knowing what needs to be done to secure it etc. So could anyone give me some useful links? It's just a small network for 2-3 PCs and maybe a lap top at most, I have full access and control of all three PCs (including installing the network cards myself).
So any advice/good sites/hints/tips/hardware suggestions(good quality not top end latest fad stuff)?
Lets say my daughter gets cancer because she grows up near a mobile phone signal tower (no evidence saying it's possible yet but lets run with it). Is it wrong for me to hate the telephone company even though I never worked for them, builtthem or had any contact outside of this with them?
Not to defend MS here in any way shape or form, but lets go nuts.
Lets say tomorrow Bob 1 and Bob 2 invest some new uber fantastic computer program/hardware/whatever you pick. Now three years ago Bob 1 was working for small start up Company A while Bob 2 were working at Company B. Now Microsoft caused both companies to go out of business. So Bob 1 and 2 found each other at company 3.
Now if MS didn't "crush them", we never would have whatever it is they invent. So while I hate MS and all it stands for, they are an evil which also works in other directions.
Nothing breeds technology like war. A giant company needs a giant cannon to shut it up for a while.
So maybe it's not all "they're holding us back", they probably are ins ome areas while advancing others.
"Great it sold out to the YO YO YO NIGGAH! bullshit rap is infested with". I got it for christmas, didn't like it much and went "nah, it can wait till ToS is finished". I finished Tales of symphonia and went back to it, after the first hour or so I adored it as much as I used to vice city. It starts out way too "wannabe black" (best way to put it) but once you relise CJ is the anti "wannabe black" it makes more sense. Then the map starts to open up and you relise just how much of an idiot you were.
Bully doesn't intrest me, but I'll see how it turns out then see if I want to get it.
As for the kids thing. Let them try it. I grew up watching horror films, playing violent games, sitting up till midnight when I was 8. But I knew if I tied anything stupid my dad would kick my ass for it. So I didn't and I grew up knowing better then to steal cars.
The key to playing violent games as a kid is knowing they are games. I mean if you don't get that why arn't I eating magic mushrooms and jumping on turtles?:)
Make games which piss people off but play well. They've done that the entire GTA series and it works for them.
Bitch and whine all you like but GTA is a damn fine game and that's why it sells. If you don't like it make a better game with none of the violence and outshine GTA every time they release a new one.
When did we get a choice if we use torrents or not? A lot of browsers are now able to use torrents by default. If big media companies exploit this others will follow and we're stuck using them like it or not.
If Windows is truely "the ultimate secure and user friendly OS", as Microsoft has repeatedly claim, why do they need a Linux lab at all? Surely if Windows if as truely magical as many claim, Linux would be dead already.
It doesn't effect Windows XP, so Microsoft will just go "You should of updated". Which will lead to more sales of XP by the masses beliving they need the latest OS to "be safe".
So you plan a great game, ask for the money. Get it twice then release yet another awful platformer (or side scrolling beat 'em up)..
How the hell does that work?
Nerds also tend to be weaker and smarter.
By being weaker it's harder for us to rape women and smarter means we know better.
I think we can all agree Slashdot has gone to hell and not only are the editors lazy but so are the mods..
Lets all goto Fark (even though I don't like Fark much)!
You can't directly put something on MY eye unless I get an implant of some kind. As long as I refuse to get any implants then they can't advertise to me..
Probably because in Japan sony is considered "cheap and tacky". They see the devices as disaposable because they find the quality so bad.
Yet here people think Sony is a good brand. Go figure...
and if the guy puts the gun to an officers head? He's in range he can fire.

but maybe it could happen every day, lets say.
I know 1+1=2, what if someone convinced me 1+1 infact made 3? Surely I would know less information no?
So if we can figure out a way to manipulate this could we not "erase" someones memory? Isn't it possible that we already know all about this yet our memories may have been effected in some way?
I haven't RTFA (yet) but this seems one of them "If we saw invisible people would we even know?" type questions..
Didn't say it was innovative, I said it was fun. Kids still find tag fun.. but it's not innovative is it?

Mind if I mildly insult you and ask WTF?

Not to ruin your good point here but.
Lets say my daughter gets cancer because she grows up near a mobile phone signal tower (no evidence saying it's possible yet but lets run with it). Is it wrong for me to hate the telephone company even though I never worked for them, builtthem or had any contact outside of this with them?

Revolution will be fun, have a handful of really good games which everyone will adore.
Xbox 360 will have 1-2 extremely good games, have drool worthy graphics, but little more.
Playstation 3 will be the work horse, most note worthy titles will be on it, but it'll have the worst ports.
This is how everything works in the console market right now.
Sony - We can do everything look how flashy we are even if poor quality.
Revolution - Graphics can wait, lets have some fun. Who cares if you only own 10 games, you still play all of them.
Xbox 3 - We have Halo... erm.. and Halo!
you use lock on to aim. It makes things simple.
:)
Controls are all really "this works, that's all you're getting". You also use the second contorl stick to look around
Tis all simple really. Some like it, some don't. Tis how it goes.
Funny you say that. I said EXACTLY the same.
:)
