It seems that MySpace was most worried about people's IP addresses getting stolen. The sites started hashing them so you couldn't see the actual address. Seems like a weird thing to be worried about on the privacy front if you ask me.
So you can post your name, age, birthday, address, and all your other personal information for everyone to see on MySpace, but now they wont find your IP address! That's privacy for you!
If people on MySpace wanted privacy, they wouldn't BE on MySpace.
They could have easily faked it by putting the high-res movie on the HDD and running it off that with nothing or a fake blu-ray disk in the drive rather then running it from a standered DVD. While Sony may be stupid, they aren't that stupid...yet.
I'm not sure if any of their pop's have caffeen but Jone's Soda has won awards for best tasting diet soda. I think that thinkgeek also sells it but I pick it up at Target...
However, I still know many people who will not get a nano because of the whole scratching issue. I think if they fix that and the 1gig nano is similar to the 1gig shuffle price it could do well. However, for a bit more money you can get the 2 or 4 gig nano and in the long run your better off going for the more memory.
I got a 40gig 4G a few months before the 5Gs came out and I don't regret spending the extra money to get the extra 20gigs of room. While I don't need it all for music, it's great for extra storage when your stuck with a laptop with under 30gig HDD. (Fortunetly I now have my desktop with me and I use that to store large files and my music)
If ISPs were to add $5 a month so that people can legal download music any way they want. Not only would the music companies make LOTs of money but it's makes everyone happy. This could be a problem though with music online stores. While some people will still use them, it could cause many people to switch...
Adding p2p to web browsing does make sence technicly. When you have your web browser open you are online and can share. Although I personaly like seperate programs for almost everything. If I want to use IRC, I'll use a client, not the firefox extention. If I want to upload something with FTP, I'll use Filezilla, not the firefox extention. But some people like the all-in-one feel.
AIM does but it's more of a personal thing. Like sending a friend a file your working on. Or sending out embarising pictures of your roommates puking all over the couch. While you can send illegal content and people do, it's more personal and not as huge as P2P networks.
I don't know what mac users you know but I've seen some people do some crazy stuff on macs. As for running Mac OS, ofcorse they do. If they wanted to run Wondows or *nix they would buy a cheaper computer and do so, not an expencive mac. And why not just use a MacMini out of the box? You can set up remote accsses with a mac and I've heard that you can load librarys that would let you run standered linux programs on a mac. (I don't know for a fact or how to do this).
Why would you put a server in your bedroom? Servers are made to hold stuff. Holding stuff need space. Space means lots of big HDDs. Big HDD means it will generaly be loud. Unless you are living in a one room apartment, put it in another room. If you share your place with someone who you don't want touching your computer, get a locking case and make it headless and just remote in from your main computer for touching up. And if it must be in your bedroom for some reasion, put it in a closet or maybe under the bed. Hiding the sound will probably work better then getting rid of it all together.
Here's a crazy idea but if you can get the video to one computer, you can have all the TVs wired to cheap computer with video output. All the "TV Computers" would be connected to the main computer with Tight VNC as to mirror the screen. The only problem I would see is unless you have a damn fast network you will probably have REALLY bad lag...
On second thoughts, this would work better WIRED then wireless...
Are you talking before or after HP bought out Compaq? Because I had a Compaq Desktop maybe 5.5 years ago. The think died under 2 years later and I havn't been able to fix the thing since.
However I not have a compaq laptop (Evo N410c) I'm not sure if it was made before or after the switch but I havn't had many problems. Now I did strip it down and reinstall winodows with my own XP disk but I havn't had many problems. Now my laptop doesn't have much power. It isn't made for that. The thing lags if you are watching a video and viewing the internet but it's not made for that.
Oh Gosh, I justed killed the English Language. Let me fix that:
I think that Jack Thompson is always so angry because he doesn't play any videogames. He need to relax and play some Super Mario. Then he'll always be in a good mood and not have to go after gamers.

All the songs where definetly NOT older then 70 years. Lots of the songs where about WWII and 'Nom if I remember correctly. This happened probably over 3 years ago and I can't remember. Infact the paper probably died with my old computer ages ago (when I was kinda n00bish:X)
Yes there are NEOTF Servers still. I believe NEOTF is a live project so there are updates on NEOTF. I actualy play mostly on a NEOTF server. It's the Old Timers [O-T] servers. The servers are ton of fun. I like them personaly BC plenty of people use mics so you get to know who your playing with. Their website can be found at: http://www.oldtimersclan.com/home.html. Don't let the name scare you away. There are MANY people who play in there who are not quite that old.
But let me tell you that playing with someone in their 60s is quite crazy when you hear them scream "HA! HA!" into their mic after they just killed you with a headshot...
And also, I play with the name Mooga if you ever drop in and see me (I'm also active in their forums).

Is there much comunication between servers in CoD? I play TFC (an old HL mod) and because it's an older game with a small yet strong player pool, there tends to be a larger comunity feel. While I only play in about 2 servers, I know many top players via online comunities like http://www.fortress-forever.com/
External HDs are the way to go. Plus, I know that the apple shop sells a 1 TB External if needed. Idealy you keep the pictures you are working with localy and back up to the external. They are very easy to use, even for those who aren't up to par with technology.
As a CS student in college, YES people talk on AIM, YES people Torrent, YES people watch movies, and YES people do sit in the front row and play WoW. This happens all the time and HELL, I do it once in a while too. But it is also useful. Downloading the most resent lectures. Taking notes. Talking with other people in the class. Is it a distraction? Yes, but there is no way to stop that. If you take away wi-fi there will still be people playing Doom 3 and watching movies.

Don't worry, the RIAA will soon make it illegal to listen to music without paying per sec.

Back in highschool I had to do a project which was to find songs about history and turn in the printed out lyrics and a small paper on the songs.
DUDE! My highschool made me BRAKE THE LAW!
I never really knew that it was illegal to post lyrics...
