I found out my e-mails were sent to/dev/null and never returned or anything. It was because of http://antfarm.ma.cx/... This happened a few months ago, last year.
For me, I can't get DSL from Verizon (no FIOS either), Covad, and others. I am just too far from the CO (20K ft.).:( No WISPs either. I can get satellite services, but we all know how crappy they are. ISDN and IDSL are too expensive for slow speeds.
My employer requires several goals (approved by manager) each year (used to be quarterly) like doing a research, presentation, taking classes, reading books, etc. related to work and how they can useful for the company.
I want to get rid of my VCR when I get DTV and/or digital feeds (before February 2009 deadline) or if my VCR dies. However, DVD recorders are unreliable from what I read, don't have large recording spaces, and/or not true high definition (HD) if I get HDTV. Also, I don't want to use a dedicated computer since it takes a lot of heat (awful in my 90 degrees(F) room), power, and potential to break (want a dedicated hardware recorder without subscription). Bah!
Wait, are all FIOS services close to CO right now? I wonder if that is why my area hasn't gotten FIOS because of the distance. Hence, the lack of DSL services.
Where do you live, digitalaudiorock? Is it a big city? I noticed cities usually have multiple options. I am not in a big city.:( I assume you're not in Southern CA since I haven't seen any Optimum Online (Cablevision) around here.
ISDN is too slow. Isn't it still 128 Kb/sec both ways? The last time I checked it was like 100 bucks a month like three years ago. Has it gone cheaper since then?
You're lucky. Others and I don't have that choice. I live in a Verizon area and I am too far to get DSL (20K ft. from CO), no FIOS service here, etc. I am not rich enough to get a T1 line. No WISP services around here. Forget satellite services since they are too slow (especially for online gaming), have caps, and expensive.:(
I know some people still using Office 97 and OpenOffice. I still use 2000 on my machines at home. It does fine.
No it doesn't. I get 200ms pings on my 26400 dial-up connections compared to cable modem (100ms) to yahoo.com.

I had mine since 2000. :)
Or Apple //c, ][e, II+, etc.
I hope I remember them correctly.
I wonder if Jamie has seen it yet.
Here is one in real life (Real Reality). Even its soundtracks are kind of cool (wished they were higher quality).

Pouet. Good stuff. Even top demos from people.
Vista doesn't have that. ;) It's a hacked/customized/modded version. :P
Here are a few screen shots from the high (non-HD) movie trailer. I wonder if those IP addresses are valid. It looks like they use Vista.
So Mission Impossible 4? ;)
Thanks for the spoilers for the future Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles episode. [grin]
What happens with those contracts that are subject to change? Those are annoying.
Chairboy, rmember that time you made a paper plane and threw it at me during a meeting? And I threw it back? :)
Yeah, 128Kb/sec is too slow and too expensive for my taste. Oh well. Need FIOS!

Yeah, I know a lot of people who still use VCRs too.
Ask our American education system. I was never taught the other ways. :(

20K = 20,000
ft. = feet
