I was told there was a server type for World of Warcraft. I forget the name of it. I was surprised Blizzard didn't shut those guys down especially when they don't like bnetd.
I finally registered and looked in the forums. Is it me or are there a lot of single files with multiple songs? Are there any split songs? Downloading a huge file will take forever. I prefer to download individual files partially, listen to them, etc.
As for music, my tastes are different. I cannot find many free music like trance and dance to download (not streaming due to dial-up). Maybe I am not looking at the right places on the Internet. I tried mp3.com, but their selections stink.
Seumas: So? I don't get cable and satellite TV so I wouldn't know. Even Blue's News mentioned this site yesterday. It may be old to you, but it's new to some people like me.
I also have physical disabilities, and I also get people thinking I am way obsessed with computers. I am not obsessed with technologies since I do tend to use old school stuff like VCR, dial-up modems, don't have PDAs and cellphones, etc.
I am always on the computers every single day at work and at home. It is basically with me to enhance my life. I have speech and hearing impediments so I use them as tools like IM/IRC. They are also used for entertainments like gaming.
It is just another stereotype. And yes, I am a geek as well who obsessed with computers.
You know, I found that feature annoying. There should be a way to highlight a word/phrase and do a a wiki lookup like Google lookup in Mozilla (forget which extension that is).
... and playing recordings back. They're still reliable and cheap. I would get a DVR/PVR, but they are still expensive especially with the silly subscription stuff. I don't need TV guide, just a recorder. I don't watch that many shows (still use rabbit ears for a 20" TV).
Also, I like to be able to record for hours unlike DVDs at decent quality (VHS tape sucks for quality) and be able to swap with people. With PVR/DVR, we cannot do that easily. DVDs, sure, but I don't know who else has a DVD recorder.;)
Hmm, odd. My PowerBook G4 (1 Ghz; 15". 512 MB of RAM; Mac OS X 10.2.8) with MacMAME v0.96u1 had choppy problems. It wasn't smooth on it even with its GL (Q3A runs nicely;)).
It looks like the videos require 7.0 codec. It was a clue from VideoLAN Client's crash message. I upgraded QuickTime Alternative to v1.50 beta 1. It worked.:)

Well, maybe Peter Jackson will make more money with his next movie!
The movie teaser trailer (downloadable 32 MB high quality version; QuickTime required) for Peter Jackson's King Kong is online (48 hours).
Thanks! How often do you get new songs on http://www.guiltfreep2p.com/viewbrowse.php?id=musi c/electronic ? It would be nice to see dates the songs were added on this Web page.

Ahhh, thanks. It looks like I need to register to see and download. I will check them out later at home (can't BT at work).
Where are those download links? I did not see any when I briefly visited the Web site. I just woke up so I might had overlooked them. Heh.
Thanks, but I rarely go out due to my physical disabilities. :(

FidelCatsro: Ah, thanks. I will try that if I ever replace the OS with Linux then. ;)
FidelCatsro: Nope. Does OS' really make that much differences on the hardwares?

I agree. It was dumb.
I am using QuickTime ALternative v1.47 and the videos don't play in it. :(
