Woah, BF2 demo is awesome! At first I was disappointed because the game was so choppy even though I had decent pings. I lowered graphic settings like lighting. Now, it is playable at 1152x864 resolution, v5.2 Catalyst driver, and everything else at maximum.
I love the special effects. I love when my visual goes BLURRY when I get hit by artillery or whatever. I love being the medic guy like in Return to Castle Wolfenstein multiplayer. Giving people med kits to use and reviving injured players get me points! Capturing flags/areas WITH buddies rock (see the attached screen shot -- see that chopper too?). Listening to poeple with voice communication (rad) -- I wished I could talk clearly!! Being on the huge aircraft. Wow. Seeing the realistic ocean. Driving through the city reminded me of videos from news and movies (e.g., Black Hawk Down).
Attached two screen shots of me playing! I am SO buying this game on the week of 22nd. I think I will sell BF:V, but might keep BF1942 for its Forgotten Hope mod (still need WWII theme!).:D
The game borrows cool elements from Natural Selection mod (commander, communication, etc.), Return to Castle Wolfenstein/Enemy Territory, Day of Defeat, etc. Running/Sprint is limited (you get tired after a while).
The bad parts: Long loading times. Configuring keys SUCK!! Too many introductions that can't be skipped.
Goodbye Desert Combat and Point of Existence mods! I can't wait to play more demo this weekend before my long summer of crunch times at work starts. Of course, I need to crank up my speakers and subwoofer. Muhaha!
"ATI Cards and Battlefield 2 Demo -- In testing the demo, EA has encountered some visual issues on certain ATI cards with the previous Catalyst drivers (5.5) and are working with yesterday's 5.6 release to discover if the issue is resolved. If in playing the Battlefield 2 demo you encounter texture corruption of any kind, we recommend rolling back to the Catalyst 5.1 drivers. ATI is aware of this issue and is working to resolve it."
Is anyone watching this funny reality TV show? The second episode was aired last night on KTLA 5 (Los Angeles, CA, USA). The guys had to do massage stuff while the gals had to fine tune sport cars.
I don't see how geeks and nerds can be better lovers from that show especially with Richard.;)
And very clean and fast. None of the annoying bells and whistles like in XP. I was sad to use XP instead of 2000 at work for production office machines.:(
"Modern technology depletes human cognitive abilities more rapidly than drugs, according to a psychiatric study conducted at King's College, London. And the curse of 'messaging' is to blame.
E-mail users suffered a 10 per cent drop in IQ scores, more than twice the fall recorded by marijuana users, in a clinical trial of over a thousand participants. Doziness, lethargy and an inability to focus are classic characteristics of a spliffhead, but e-mail users exhibited these particular symptoms to a "startling" degree, according to Dr. Glenn Wilson. The deterioration in mental capacity was the direct result of the trialists' addiction to technology, researchers discovered. E-mail addicts were bombarded by context switches and developed an inability to distinguish between trivial and significant messages. Incredibly, 20 per cent of trialists jeopardized their immediate social relations by rushing off to "check their messages" in the middle of a conversation.
Wilson's research is no flash in the pan. Computer technology in its modern, "interconnected" form is dumbing down the population more rapidly than television."
I would like to see a MMORPG based on FOX's popular science fiction franchise. I don't care about Predator (Aliens vs. Predators). I know FOX had a game like this before MMORPG was known.
I would like to see something like World of Warcraft, Star Wars: Galaxies, etc. with various missions (quests) in various places. There would be different classes as well like Natural Selections including commanders, ships (medic, weapons, etc.).
It was interesting that news.google.com, cnn.com, msnbc.com, etc. do not have this story on its front news page. I guess the outage isn't severe like one in New York a few years ago.
Danger, Will Robinson! You didn't log in! You apparently put in the wrong password, or the wrong nickname. Either try again, or have your password mailed to you if you forgot your password.
... no problems. Whew.
... on Spider-Man 2 DVD?

;)

So, most of the non-live TV shows are on time. It is probably impossible. :(
ARGH!
And very clean and fast. None of the annoying bells and whistles like in XP. I was sad to use XP instead of 2000 at work for production office machines. :(
Sex scene? I don't remember any sex scene in the PC game. And yes, I finished it.
I wonder if the upcoming IE7 will even fix these existing memory leaks.
I posted this story back in April on my Web site (AQFL):

CNET News.com also reported this last Thursday.
I have not heard of "ginormous" and "confuzzled" terms before.
Don't put that backup in the same house/building. Take it to somewhere else off-site if it is that urgent. Of course, if Earth blows up, oh well! :)
Luigi30: Yep, that's why I would see to see Aliens theme version.

I still use dial-up every day. :( I agree it should be NAT setup.
How about cable, satelllite, etc. NAT setup even with customers' routers (using NAT)?
Aren't we running of IP address for v4 even with NAT?
Oh right, I forgot it affected other areas. My bad! I even checked the world news section on those Web sites. Nothing there with a quick glance.
It was interesting that news.google.com, cnn.com, msnbc.com, etc. do not have this story on its front news page. I guess the outage isn't severe like one in New York a few years ago.
[grin]

I cannot believe this shot Hahaha!
Roomba was loud and noisy. I wonder if Scooba is quieter.
Heh, me too. I was thinking Pringle cans for wireless improvements. Hehe.
Oh wait, I think I had seen this. Is this the long trailer with subtitles? Also, there were like adult jokes?
