I played its leaked alpha/beta or whatever it was and tried it on my king ant's 386 portable work machine (IBM P70). It was beautiful, but not playable.
Then came shareware release after 12/10/1993, but I couldn't play it (too choppy and no audio card). So, I gave a copy to my next door neighbor with his 386 DX desktop PC. He played it for a little bit and told me it was amazing, but he had to study for his college freshman finals. I finally played it when I got my own custom built 486 DX2/66. Then, came dial-up multiplayer with him. Oh my, that was the best game when we played together co-op.
Then, came in making my own DOOM 2 mods. I also hung out with a local BBS with people in making one/1. Even it got SirDOOM working to have 4-players multiplayer over dial-up! We even recorded demos of it. It was incredible and worth it!:D
I was addicted to ftp.cdrom.com's DOOM stuff. I have many other stories too. I even had dreams!
Windows, Linux, iOS, etc. I always wait until I am forced. I also don't like how we can uninstall updates Apple software updates like in Windows without restoring from backups.:(
I haven't flown since summer of 1993. I hate traveling and long commutes. I wished we had working stable t(rans/ele)porters to avoid these long waits.:(
So to avoid them in Windows, we have to use Vista and older unsupported Windows. Or switch to a non-Windows OS. That is assuming you want to go online.:(
... this is true. I used to upgrade my computer hardwares every other year with video cards, motherboards, etc. See http://zimage.com/~ant/antfarm... for my detailed list. As I got older, I gamed a lot less due to busy life and no energy. These days, I use the Internet to read, see, socialize, etc.
I still do play games once in a while like in IRC with Rbot's turn based card games (e.g., Uno and Junkyard). I did briefly play John Romero's classic DOOM maps and those were fun like old times.
I don't like how it requires an iPhone. I'd like a stand alone smartwatch. Also, they are heavy, big, and power hunger. I will stick with my old school Casio Data Bank 150 watch.:P

Ditto, but I have heard of other Spark from Cisco, Apache, etc.
Auto scheduled by whom? Linus? :P
That was a great mod for classic DOOMers. I had fun with it. I'd like to see more of these!
Especially on a slow connection! That's like a DDoS. Ouch.

Sex at work? You didn't get caught? HR didn't care? :O
Prove it that you're the only Locke2005. I am Locke2005 too. :P
WRT54GL? Can it do gigaspeed with these open source firmwares?

But then I never got paid for being on call as a SQA tester. :(
Yep, I remember cable companies charging more for Internet service only. :(
I bet Apple does this too with their own apps. All of these apps aren't open sourced for us to review. :(

30 seconds? More like a minutes or so since there are many breaks! :(
And how many people will want VR? I don't.

Which version? V3 which I still prefer.
2 years old? You need to go younger than that. Like before they are born! :P
Next with the texts. You might as well not read and fly. :P
It doesn't matter if it is free or not. They will always be tracking you!
Also, maybe need multiple CD drives and use Exact Audio Copy (EAC). Unless the CDs are physically in bad shape.
Prove it. :P
For me, I want a stand alone smartwatch that doesn't rely on a smartphone. I will stick with my old school Casio Data Bank 150 calculator watch. :P
