It is not just Linux. Look at Windows, Mac OS X, etc. they are all getting worse IMO. Buggier, harder to use, etc. This is why I care not for the (lat/new)est stuff. I will keep using old stuff.:(

Ditto. I used to be a hardcore PC gamer. Not anymore, so no need to upgrade. I still use WIndows XP Pro SP3, 2.5 GB of RAM, 512 MB PCIe video cards, etc.

Ditto. I still don't own a BR drive and player. I just got a HDTV (moved and CRT TV was too heavy) and monitor (old 5:4 LCD monitor was dying).
