Yes, but if at the big PR events the stars and politicians are the only ones being trotted out, what message does that really send to kids about being a programmer?
Yep. Lets put constraints on the economy to slow down global warming which will cause more people to be unemployed because then the temperature will not go up as much and people will do more work!!
I agree. The Super Mario Brothers game on the Wii U is great, and.... theres not much else out there. Nintendoland got boring after a few weeks.
The Wii U however is a great Netflix device (no extra charges like the xbox), and would be an awesome youtube viewing device if the interface weren't staggeringly bad.
The browser's ok too.
But here's the real rub. We're still using our old Wii because we'll be damned to move our stuff over "once and only once" to the Wii U. What a load of horsecrap. We use the Wii U to play exactly none of our old Wii games. The migration path is openly hostile to the customer. Shame on Nintendo for that one!
Yep. I'm thinking this is a golden opportunity for google to hire a ton of remote workers whose job description will be "come up with ways to destroy yahoo". They'll be extremely motivated to do so.
I have been very unimpressed with Mayer's performance at Yahoo. She's made quite a few moves that are pure pointy haired boss level bullshit.
Someday the bond buyers will begin to fear that the US is incapable of paying off all its bonds. At that time the return rate on bonds will skyrocket and the game will be over.
A country cannot borrow money below the rate of inflation forever..... Eventually the debt will be so high that the bondholders will have no confidence that they will get paid.
Sure, the people who want the country to get back to spending within its means are fucktards, and the people who want to pile up deficits and debt forever are noble leaders.
With all due respect your comment is a crock of shit.
What the hell are these ivy league lawschool graduates being taught that makes them think like this?
I'm beginning to believe that an Ivy League degree is becoming an absolutely meaningless indicator of intelligence and competence. Still an indicator of eliteness, yes, but not of ability.
There are just way way to many examples out there of Ivy Leaguers who are mindblowingly stupid.
While claiming correctly that he didn't exactly know what happens on the other side of the isle, he did in fact later guess in the same answer that the Democrats would likely not even have written a position paper on copyright in the first place.
It sure hasn't taken us very long to go from "the customer is always right" to "screw the customer."
In most industries, screw the customer over is now the norm. I think it's directly related to companies going from a belief in making good products to a belief in increasing shareholder value.
squeezed between the national debt and the small government tea-baggersI mean tea party.
I find it interesting that the moment you decided to throw an obviously emotionally charged aside into your writing, your grammar (or at least your punctuation) completely broke down.

Unless we're in the Matrix, then yes.
Now they can stop treating their customers like criminals. Right, right??

If you can dodge a chair you can dodge a ball.....
Yes. Islam desperately needs a Protestant reformation.

You are correct with respect to republicans and excessive spending they are very guilty too.
But the original post referenced Tea Partiers specifically and they have been staunchly anti spending and not truly in line with the republicans.

That the government is responsible for the currency only makes their current way of doing things even more reprehensible.
Every time the government borrows they are shrinking the value of the dollars in our pockets.

Bullshit. Private companies, when faced with budget shortfalls, make across the board budget cuts all the time. It's a very common tactic.
This fear mongering is making me sick. $80 billion in cuts is going to "cripple" our $3.4 Trillion government? They are they lying their asses off.

What, you thought his entire worldview would've been overturned because of a single issue?
Exactly. Especially when those in the other party are even more firmly against the positions from his paper than the party that fired him.
Of course going the other way, many a travesty has been justified by uttering, "we need to Do Something, for the Children!!!"
In fact I think that's caused far more travesties to happen than the Free Market has.
While claiming correctly that he didn't exactly know what happens on the other side of the isle, he did in fact later guess in the same answer that the Democrats would likely not even have written a position paper on copyright in the first place.
I think he's correct in that assessment.
Wow, ad hominem much asshole?

So what?
People are funding client skeptics, and people are finding Climate Change studies.
As soon as you say - "you can't study that" to people who may disagree with the perceived status quo, you are limiting speech, period.
We understand so little about climate I think we can live with more funding from all sides, not just from those with preconceived notions.
Heck there was even that one skeptic funded study that concluded that there is global warming.
This vim is for emacs users who just know vi is better but don't want to fully admit it.....
The corollary of the Everyone gets a trophy! mentality is the Zero Tolerance mentality.
Basically getting along with those in power has a very high value in today's world.
So to expand it out to its most disturbing you end up with:
No Child Left Behind, Everyone Gets a Trophy, Don't Disobey or We Will Destroy You!!
Of course the response they are looking for from both these angles is still the Wussificaiton you mentioned.

but from I saw proper grammar and punctuation
:-)
I agree that the newspaper writer obviously set out to make them look bad.
It's just the sheer volume of data and the level of detail of the data Tesla had on the operation of the car was shocking.
