That's a bit much...apparently you've picked up on American habits like not thinking before acting or talking.
As for Canada's inaction in the current situation, we, as with the majority of the world, stated that we would wait until all other courses of action had failed before rushing into war. The proof is in the pudding and if Saddam had so many weapons of mass destruction.......wouldn't he be using them on the invaders of his country right now? Looks like he doesn't have anything and "y'all" were wrong eh?
That's pretty good thinking that we accomplish it without violence. I like the fact that we maintain only a minimal amount of armed forces, not wasting billions of dollars on squabbles that will end up meaningless.
Today was a good day. I took my time considering the word and considered several options including menstruation, fuck, riveting, and paranoia, but finally settled on poignancy. In the context used I would describe it as meaning "skillfully touching", though one might also consider it to mean incisive as well.
Aside from Film Noir (watch The Salton Sea or The Man Who Wasn't There) I've always loved those road movies about rebellion and chaos. True Romance, Natural Born Killers, and my favourite movie of all time, Love and a.45 . Great soundtrack of wild texas music, including the Reverend Horton Heat, a bad man who means well, Renee Zellweger in her sexiest role ever and a lot of speed. Also a couple of notable cameos including Peter Fonda as an old hippy (you have to see it).
Best character names, Dino Bob and Creepy Cody, a couple of tweaked out speed freak loan sharks chasing our hero and heroine....
Peace Not War is a website dedicated to an album of anti-war music. Not available freely as teh others, but free to listen. The downside is that it does contain "self-evident" by Ani Difranco, which if you've never heard it before...........don't. Not her best work. Great tune by Massive Attack though.
Meh, I can't feel too badly about your ribbing when I think back and recall that Canada is the only nation ever to have taken American soil, even going so far as to burn the whitehouse.......War of 1812 baby.
Thing is, the joke was to emphasize that what might be considered a small amount of ram right now was only recently considered a massive amount. It showcases the while newer MS products don't necessarily do much more, they certainly take much more.
We came up with a whole system similar to this called asshole points. It would be sweet to be able to see how many asshole points people had against them. Part of the system was a method of losing points for doing good things. Kind of a karma system for the mainstream.
True that, if win2k goes down on me it just reboots. Doesn't happen nearly as often as with win98, but it's still quite the unpleasant surprise........then there's the massive memory log-jams, but that could just be because I'm too cheap to buy more than 256 megs of ram...
Actually it just looks black because that's a black and white photo. The NeXT cube was actually pink which made it quite popular amongst a certain segment of the population but ultimately doomed it for failure in the larger market of desktop computing for the home user.
There are movies on the iRobot website, some of them are interesting and definitely give you better perspective of exactly what kind of results are acheived through the usage of the swarming idea. The movies are available here.
I definitely agree with you on the fact that nothing beats actually having the amp you want to play through. I myself can only afford a couple of the many that I want. I play through my Fender Bassman quite a bit, but fairly often find myelf playing with the Line6 through my Roland keyboard amp. It's the variety of tones available and ease of use.....delicious, not perfect, but still quite good.
Netsh is a Microsoft command-line scripting utility that allows you to, either locally or remotely, display or modify the network configuration of a computer that is currently running. Netsh also provides a scripting feature that allows you to run a group of commands in batch mode against a specified computer. Netsh can also save a configuration script in a text file for archival purposes or to help you configure other servers.
The coward was right, you are dumb. The licence will be free in a month after the fonts are completed. They are being released now under an interim licence. Interim means between now and then. The licence then will be free.
To reiterate, the fonts are not currently part of Gnome, or any other free software package, but are available from Bitstream. When they become free after they are completed then they will be part of free software packages.

As far as standard of living:
"Canada ranks sixth in the world in standard of living (measured according to gross domestic product per capita), behind only the U.S., Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany and Japan."

March 26th - Todays word must be 'eccentric'. As I understand it, eccentric means to deviate from the norm or to have a non circular elliptical orbit.

....I'd like to leave you alone, but that appears to be a sentence fragment.
Hmmmmm, the interesting word today must have been "Canard". Canard is french for duck and also means a deliberately misleading story.
Extra points for Moses if the plane that Gary flew was a Canard, as it is also a type of plane.
But not for the reason that you're thinking.

Hmmmmmmm, I'm not generally a stickler about things I don't care much about, but you started it and were wrong.
"You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means" - The Princess Bride
The thing about that movie and what happened in it, and I'm sure I'm not the first to conclude this, was that it was all collosally stupid.
I know that, I was trying to be funny, maybe didn't succeed in your eyes.
that may be the funniest comment ever.......milk, nose, squirt.

I thought I was the only one that called the Americans buggers......

Hey, I posted it and I agree that it wasn't interesting.......but that's what m2 is for I guess.
Do you work for ConsoleClassix? Just noticed that almost all of your posts are Nintendo or game related.......nice cheap advertising on slashdot?
Sometimes I wish that Taco et al were as vicious as irc ops, you could use a kick you whiner.
