    That would be a flaw in the security however.

    If you provide a stronger clock signal (not hard) you could sync a key repeatedly to a specific time, and theoretically derive the private key. Game over.

    That said, providing a way to charge the battery BEFORE it dies would be nice. An induction charger like electric toothbrushes have, for instance.

    TV, like radio, is a way to get news out quickly to the population.

    If joe schmoes analog TV stopped working, he would no longer receive those emergency broadcast notifications.

    So, the notification that would tell him to get his fat, beer-sodden arse up and out (because some natural disaster is coming) wouldn't be heard.

    So in a wierd, twisted way... TV and radio are integral to our safety now.

    No, shot at 24 FPS but processed to and played back at some screwed up ratio.

    Every third frame is displayed twice, I believe.

    This assumes you watch an NTSC signal. The numbers are different for PAL.

    Ah, but in my experience the DIVs are dynamically sized to the flash size. So, who cares if there is an empty 0x0 DIV?

    That said, adblock plus and the element hider extension can solve this problem for you.

    You can block all flash with adblock.

    Add a '*.swf' block, and then you use whitelisting on the files you want. (that's @@http://example.com/foobar.swf)

    It's not as easy, I'll grant you that, but it's certainly possible.

    Nope. Read the license. You are allowed to install it on one desktop, and on one portable license.

    At least pre-vista that was the case, not sure if that's since changed.
