I'm still playing Doom. I've played em' all and I'm back to single player Doom, I've got over 1000 wads and 6 or 7 full 32 level efforts, Momento Morti being among the best. The H2H competition mudfest stuff is almost mind blowing.

I's pretty well always the same. Ultra Violent skill and mad craziness. I usually bite it with a mad crowd all around me dying and killing. A lot of Doom is getting the monsters to kill each other. One recent one had 6 cybers and a crowd of barons and when you die it's usually very funny.

Throw it up on the big Sony at 1280x720 and nothing touches Doom for pure fun. Thanks John.

Your desperation to have the responder be unique gives away your bias. There are quite a few GUIs for X control. Nvidia's is almost good.

I gotta get back to getting my wireless lan up. Sure I can buy a router that 'just works' but what would be the fun in that. I have it up but attaching dhcpd properly is a problem ... that I will solve. I always win ... although sometimes it takes a while ;). The intel stuff on the GL960 chipset is next after that. Vista must die so my laptop can be clean. ;)

I know you don't understand but the recession ... no, sorry, depression is the word to describe the coming whirlwind.

It does not help at all that the Chinese recently fought and won an economic war with the USA, which was never even noticed, and owns a very large amount of your country. It's a weapon, they don't care if you can pay.
