Is it me or this guy gets all the attention that should instead be devoted to the leaks' content? I bet most people following assange' ascention to stardom don't even read wikileaks.
The good thing about the beta is that it will allow hackers to work on a bnet-to-lan emulator, which shouldn't really be harder than tracking packets and learning what they do.
heck if pirated servers for wow were functionnal before the actual game launched, this should be real easy to code.
It still should be optional, people should be free to decide whether they want to use the bnet integration or not. I myself will most likely run sc2 behind a firewall when i play the single player campaign to not be bothered and find a bnet-to-lan utility for lan gaming.
That would explain why our entire economy is flooded with uncreative people polluting our markets with useless gizmos so they can buy themselves volvos and play golf.
You know, with each new government action that gets posted here on slashdot, my hope in democracy as it stands now fades away, I thought at one point it would disappears but now it appears I have negative hope towards democracy.
That system is now so corrupt it itself has trouble keeping track of what it stands for and makes decisions like.. texting health plans. That sounds like someone needing mass attention or wanting mass distractions to me.
I agree, EA has to be one of the game companies i dislike the most. Their games have little to no replay value, if any value in the first place. Its obvious they're in it for the money and not the games themselves.
If you have to spend 3 times the money of development for marketing alone, its a pretty strong sign that you're selling crap and not giving a shit about your customers, all you want is their money.
The state of our entire entertainments industry today is very sad, everything is more about money than it is about quality.
I thought a comet like that was what gave life to earth in the very first place.. maybe this one is coming to replace humans with a more evolved species, this would be convenient.
We still have a lot of our DNA not yet "activated", from what little I know about genetics, every living organism share more or less the same DNA with less than 1% of differences, its which parts that are activated and which ones that are dormant that specify what the being will look like. This also means we're still babies in terms of our evolution.
Correct me if I am wrong.
I for one can't wait for this to happen: "I dunno how much AIDS scares y'all, but I got a theory: the day they come out with a cure for AIDS, a guaranteed one-shot cure, on that day there's gonna be fucking in the streets, man." - Bill hicks
I am pretty sure these are details for the implementation of OpenCL, not for client code. It is the very reason why libraries such as OpenGL/CL/AL/etc exists, so you don't have to worry about implementation details in your code.
From what I know of the spec, you would just create your kernel, feed it data, and execute it, the implementation will worry about sharing the work between the CPU and GPU to get optimal performance.
However, I don't think it would be optimal to have all 4 cores of the CPU running on parallel tasks when the GPU has dozens more processing cores dedicated for such tasks, the CPU will better be spent doing system tasks.
In this case I would call "terrorists" freedom fighters and "free people" terrorists.
Did we really need a study to figure that out?
How fucking retarded are we as a species?

Actually I believe this is helping, we're one step closer towards the masses realizing they are living in a giant corporate turd.
If they do that they're just begging for their games to be pirated so these fascist enforcements can go away.

Man, that new version must have sucked balls.

But those toys were used to distract the mindless american consumers while the two assholes destroyed everything!
I don't think we ever were free in that respect to begin with :)
Preach something, do something different. This is just one area out of hundreds where the government do that, I don't see anything new here.
I never tried it, I didn't like the first one very much, gameplay was too repetitive for my tastes.

Ever since they began taking a percentage of my transactions, I stopped using Paypal whatsoever for the freelance work I do.
Paypal was nice when it began, but the more time passes the more annoyinng it becomes.
They're thinking about renaming it "The Ninja Bay"
People pay for Windows? It's free to download on the internets!

What you're trying to understand women? I gave up on that long ago.
If you're scared of being smart, you're up for a big surprise!

I thought comments on sites such as youtube and whatnot were the incentive to develop such technology.
Of course, when you lack the technology, you can still visit people and facepunch them yourself, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjWFZPJZTxU.

Can we build a microchip into a human brain?
