It is only logical that the heatsink would be the visible component. After all, foil keeps the heat in. Therefore the logical setup is aluminum foil hat with a small gap for heatsink connection, and only aluminum components in the heatsink, thus covering the gap in the aluminum foil hat. That way you could have all the benefits of the aluminum foil hat and a heatsink. Also THEY would never know you had shielding under your heatsink.

Remindes me of something I read in a book about how to manage people at work. If some one dose not like you, get them to do you a favor, something kind of hard. Because if they are working at something for some one they don't like then they won't like them selves. Therefore they will subconsciously make the switch to, if not liking you, at least not hating you. Sounds like these cables. "I just shelled out $7,000 for something, therefore I will like it to the level that I think $7,000 is worth, otherwise I'm a dupe that spent $7,000 on something worth about $10.00"

  5. Re:wait on Slashdot Turns 10 But You Get The Presents · · Score: 4, Funny

Before slashdot we would all carve posts on the branches of an over grown shrub. Thus the first post would be inscribed on the trunk, and later posts would be written on branches or leaves. The down side was a survey would last for a very long time before it would be replaced(see the red woods of California). Also you had to go to the bush or tree to read posts, and reply. If it was a popular topic, like how waterfalls could make rainbows, or the wheel, you would often need to climb for quite a long time to post anything. And often times on your accent you could climb the wrong direction and end up making your comment on the wrong branch. Then your leaf or stick would be broken off of the shrub or tree and burnt, because you were off topic. The modern lumberjack and tree surgeon are decedents of the first attempt at moderation. This also is where the term 'flame war' came from. People would climb trees and cut off all branches with some ones posts and burn them.

Yeah, when I had cable I watched five different programs. Good Eats, Iron Chef, Stargate. Right now it would be nice to get Dr Who, Good Eats, Iron Chef, Feasting on Asphalt, Mythbusters, and reruns of some old shows every now and again would be cool. Quite honestly, if I had to pay a few bucks to download them, and they had adds, it would still be a better deal than cable.
