Really folks. I love the way Apple is going these days. But there are two areas that really drive me nuts. a) Intel processors. Next to Microsoft there is no company I really dislike more than Intel. Intel is evil. b) Please can we get a Apple Laptop with a NVIDIA GPU? ATI's drivers stink in Linux and are worse in Windows. Not as big of an issue for OSX, but still, if I boot into XP to play a game, I don't want to have problems with my drivers.

There is a big difference between being tempted to sin and sinning. Sure, my heart may throb a bit more when I see a woman walk by who is sexy. That's not the sin. The is when I follow her across the room, watching her every move with my eyes.
That's like saying, that it's sick and wrong to create firearms if we are not allowed to use them to kill people. There is nothing wrong with sex in marriage. I heard of three brothers the other day. Their dad was a pastor. One day the man was found outside a strip-club beat up and robbed. He seperated from his wife (although they are still married). The three brothers made a pact. The decided that they would never do to their wife what their father did to their mother. So they agreed that if any of them fell into porn, or any other type of sexual sin. The other two would come to their house and beat him to a pulp. That's the way I see it. Porn hurts families.
But on the other hand, I don't think the government has a right to regulate porn. The government can regulate the effects of porn. Rape should not be tolerated, etc. But getting rid of Porn is a heart issue. It must be done away with by convincing people one at a time of it's evil effects. Not by the government's heavy hand. Otherwise we get a repeat of the 20's.
I agree here totally. The needed "safety valve" is a good way to expend energy, and be creative. When you keep busy that energy that is normally given to the sex drives is diverted elsewhere. Some say mastubation is better than outright sex. They may be right. But I say simply diverting that sexual energy and waiting to even think about sex until your married is better. I think the most wonderful thing a man could offer a woman on their wedding night is the assurance that he has never lusted over another woman in his life. That's almost impossible. But being a virgin until your wedding night is just as important. That is my goal, and I am working the other.

My point here is, that porn addictions can only be overcome if somthing is used to replace it (specificly Christ). And porn is an addiction. I was there for awhile. And I still struggle with the temptation from time to time. But in reality people are only looking on the outside of the issue. The reality is that Satan has come to this earth to steal, kill and destroy (john 10:10). His goal is to destory a man (or woman) in whatever way possible. Weither that is though porn, drugs, or the occult doesn't really matter to him. As long as he can get one more soul to go to Hell, he is happy.
Okay, I'm ranting, I know. But I have to say this: Contrary to common view men are not animals. We have the ability to rule our minds and spirits. To be able to make a decision based on more than "what makes us feel good". The danger I see with porn is that it reduces the human race (and specificly women) to mere animals. We loose our dingnity. I bought Oblivion over the weekend on a urge. I was suprised the game is totally addictive. I have to say that the only thing that Deus Ex has over it is the real world links (half of the consperiacies are real) which made it all the more immersive. But for a fantasy RPG. It rocks.
If the styrofoam needs to be heated first, we just need to start polluting our atmosphere, and then that will cause global warming which will allow the bacteria to digest the waste we create! Wait, somthing doesn't seem right about that...

But what exactly is fornication? Well according to scripture (2Ti 3:16) we can use the OT to define the NT. So, we go back now to our original verse, and find God's view on fornication and sexual sin in Lev 18.
And this is supported in these verses:
1Cr 6:9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
1Cr 6:10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
At last annother person who knows the truth about that verse. If I had to pick one verse that has been miss-translated and missused the most. That would be one of my top picks.

RTS game competitions would be interesting. Some games would work really well, like StarCraft, Age of Empires, etc. Some like Battle For Middle Earth II would be awesome to watch 8 people dueling it out on. Epecialy if you had a running commentary on it for the viewers (this would need to be hidden from the players though). That would be more down my alley. But watching a FPS? Yawn...

It came from a letter that Thomas Jefferson wrote to his friend while he was in France. Jefferson never had anything to do with the US constitution. So, the church can influence the Federal Government quite a bit. And they can practicaly run State Governments if it is allowed in that state's constitution. If you don't like that, move to a different state. That is the great thing about this country we live in.
