It's not a podcast, it's an MP3 file. It's only a Podcast if it has an RSS feed for the audio files. Quit using words if you don't know the correct context in which to use them!
It's not that it causes slight blindness, but the images in the flash demo move too damn fast. It doesn't matter if it contains blood/gore, etc... because you can't see it anyway, it's too fast.
Wouldn't this contaminate the soil of mars, by introducing lifeforms from another planet? I mean, we still have a lot of research left to do on mars, and I don't think putting plants to grow on mars is going to help at all.
"If the directive is adopted, developers who create software for file sharing that is then used for illegal ends could potentially be criminally liable in EU member countries."
I guess they should ban the internet, and all software with networking protocols, such as Windows, Linux, OS X, and any other OS or application that has the ability to share information over a network. Hell, they might as well get rid of e-mail, too.
Nothing will EVER stop file sharing, short of getting rid of the internet, and you know that's never going to happen.
So what about wireless? I love my wireless router, and I don't think I could go back to wired connections unless I had to (I use a laptop, and it's easy to roam around my house without worrying about cables).
At my university, there's The College of Computer Science, and under that, you can major in CS (Computer Science), IT (Information Technology) or IS (Information Systems).
So is it all of the included majors affected, or is it just the CS majors that are affected?
"Asa Dotzler started contributing to the Mozilla project early on. He had developed an interest in open source software in 1995 while he was at Auburn University in Alabama, where he was studying architecture and preservation."
That's just awesome. I attend the University of South Alabama, and I know exactly where Auburn University is. I think it's pretty cool to see another person from Alabama that is far from the stereotype of the "redneck" or "hick". Word up to Asa!
SpreadFirefox.com is based on Drupal CMS, and is in no way a sign that Mozilla can be hacked because of this. Yes, anything and anyone can be hacked, but I keep seeing a lot of people think that the Mozilla Foundation is at risk. But not with this hack, because they (Mozilla) don't run Drupal. Drupal has had vulnerabilities like this before in their older versions (I got attacked with it on my Online Portfolio site, which ran a vulnerable version of Drupal).
...what Microsoft says you should do, it's about what the REAL WORLD says you should do. I wouldn't trust her to fix my computer, because she's probably uninstall Firefox and Thunderbird, and make me stick to only Microsoft programs.
See, that's the real test: If she's using Internet Explorer in her free time, she's an idiot. There's no way around it. MCP, MCSE, etc be damned, she's still an idiot if that's true.
What about Network Address Translation (NAT)? You can have a LAN in your house with like 20 computers connected to a broadband router, and if you're using NAT, to the outside world, your LAN is only 1 collective node/IP address on the internet.
It doesn't matter what kind of "copy protection" a disc has, I can always get around it. How? Simple. My sound card supports "What U Hear", so basically, it can record sound streams from your computer (ie, if you're playing a flash movie in your browser, and hit record "What U Hear", the sounds from the flash movie, and any other sounds on your computer will be recorded in the exact quality as you hear it).
OK, I know I shouldn't have to say this, but if the majority of people here would just block Roland's website, he wouldn't get many hits on his website. Just add an entry into your HOSTS file, as such:

First off, Novell.com isn't a link in the summary. Second, Novell.com works.
Both Microsoft and Google have both online search engines, and local computer search tools.
I can't wait for the shuttle to return, because I'm getting sick and tired of hearing about it.

Microsoft Windows is insecure! More details later, movie at 10.
Spritel? Nexint? Vista?
What is with posting the trailer every week on Slashdot? This makes like the third time a Serenity trailer has been posted. Enough already!
...will just buy out MIPS Technology, just like they are with everything else.
The GIMP sucks. If you're a true graphic designer, you'll soon realize things you NEED that are only available in Photoshop.
I took a Technical Writing course last semester in college. I didn't even buy the book, and I passed with an easy A.
It's easier than English 101 or English 102.
So what about wireless? I love my wireless router, and I don't think I could go back to wired connections unless I had to (I use a laptop, and it's easy to roam around my house without worrying about cables).
That's under the College of Engineering.

You mean "blue", not "yellow". IE has never been yellow, unless I'm colorblind.

Just clearing that up for people.

So, how can you explain all the innovation that's already taken place with OSS?
I'm going to be getting hit by Dennis, I live in the southern-most tip of Alabama, in Mobile. I'm busy trying to prepare.

So yeah, it's just a waste of money.
