Linux must be doing something right, if one of the largest software companies in the US is devoting money and energy to dismiss Linux. Why can't you be confident in your own product? If you were confident in Windows, you would let the Windows OS speak for itself. So are you making up for the failure of Windows by focusing attention on Linux?
From TFA:
"...for some reason, even though I've
asked it not to, Microsoft Windows XP occasionally
opts for the best wireless connection instead
of my wired ethernet cable, which is faster.
When this occurs, I am able to browse the internet using the nearby company's DSL line (for
which they are presumably footing the bill), but
I usually cannot tell the difference."
MSN has already created a bad image with me. I will never use or trust anything with the MSN name...ever again. Just like I'll never use AOL again, etc...
MSN == Crap
Wow, the concept pictures look nothing like the prototype. Hopefully they can work on making it aesthetically pleasing. Maybe they should call up Apple?
I love the FreeBSD Handbook, it's an amazing guide to help get the system up and running. I got FreeBSD 5.3 + X11 + Xorg + Gnome2 compilled and installed in less than 24 hours. (total work time was around 5-6 hours)
Even after reading the article and another article provided by a slashdot member, I can't seem to understand WHO's handwriting we're talking about, Blair or Gates???
The only way to truely stop spam is build a white list, in which you can only recieve e-mail from the addresses on the white list. The downfall is that you cannot recieve e-mail from people that aren't on the list.
But if you only send and recieve e-mail from a few select people on your e-mail account, then a white list may be a good option for you.
Doesn't he have something better to do than this? Perhaps he should give up his day job and become a psychic, like Miss Cleo. At least he might make some money off of it.
This is exactly the reason why VPN was created, for situtations like this. Just create a secure tunnel across the internet, and they can't sniff your data.
I'm glad that Google has stepped up to deny spammers Page Rank. It's the greatest feeling in the world, knowing that all their effort in spamming people was for nothing.
I have WordPress, and there's been no mention of a plugin for it yet, so until someone creates a plugin, I won't be able to use the rel="nofollow", short of manually editing URLs.
But it's not like anything gets through, anyways. I have a spam filter set up, and a few other tricks on my blog, and it stops 99% of spam.
I love this software. I have thousands of digital photographs on my hard drive, and trying to find a picture is insanly difficult. Picasa made things MUCH easier, and Picasa 2 is looking to be even better.
So instead of people blaming the HUGE record industry that produces crap, they can blame a machine!
Sounds like a scapegoat to me. Either that, or the record execs are SO STUPID when it comes to music, that they have to get a machine to help them out.

Turn off your wireless card, dumbass.
The 8th falls on Tuesday, not Monday.
Actually, he is correct. It's a first for the visibility factor.

I'm hosting a mirror of the video, and I have unlimited bandwidth from my host.

This story reminds me of what might happen if they decided to make a movie based on the Salam Witch Trials, but took place in the 21st century.
"Look, he's not using Windows, but something called Solaris! And he's not using IE, but LYNX! Kill him! Witch!"
The idea must suck if it's being compared to a germ.

I used to know it all, and then I hit my head on a SPARC system.

How is this any different from say, selling a car? Could you go to jail because someone took the car and ran someone over with it, on purpose?
It doesn't make any sense at all.
I'm going to keep reporting spam to their ISP, their host, and the FCC for as long as I live.
Instead of trying to fuck up your camera, why not just give it to me? I'm sure I could use it. :)
Looks like Aubrey de Grey is a little too late.

Boss: The router went down, we need you to fix it...now.
You: Fuck.
Here's another site that has the pictures on it.
