In Washington, Stupak said the committee investigators had uncovered a document prepared in 2001 by Transocean, the drilling rig operator, that said there were 260 "failure modes" that could require removal of the blowout preventer.
"How can a device that has 260 failure modes be considered fail-safe?" Stupak asked.
It's been my experience that the big ISPs have procedures for getting your site removed from the black list. I've at least had luck with AOL in that regard. Usually you just have to make sure you have spf set up, give them the ips your responsible for, and send them a complaint email address where they can forward spam complaints.
I agree with your main point, but your complaint on that Chicago system seems off. A little wiki search and some math (the standard block in Manhattan is about 264 by 900 feet) give about 100 blocks per square mile. That means that your wifi/webcam laptops would have to be $25-$50 ($250,000 x 1% / 100) each.
Maybe the parents where so used to seeing the realistic wii-gun laying around that the handgun laying around wasn't really out of place? I bet if the wii controller looked different, the actual gun laying on the table would have stood out at least a little more.
Didn't P133s have a 2x multiplier and P100s had 1.5x? And that was in the days of locked multipliers. Those must've been some pretty exceptional P100s. Not only that, but wikipedia has them listed as using different sockets! Granted, it was a long time ago, and you may have gotten some details off -- or if I'm wrong, please correct me.
Sorry, didn't notice you were talking LED. Though the page you link says 75watt equivalent and 17watt usage in two different places -- which is still a poorer ratio than what you are describing. I also like how the bulb costs some $204.99 each!
Really, I also have some doubts as to the claimed equivalencies. It reminds me of the AMD Athlon's Pentium-rating mess only with less standardization and a lot more rounding.
from your link:
The 17 Watt Hi-Power LED light bulbs is an economical way to replace PAR38 based light bulbs used for indoor recessed lighting or outdoor spot/flood lighting. 75W equivalent and lasts up to 50,000 hours
Re: Question 5. I just cleaned a computer displaying similar behaviour the other day. It took GMER from http://www.gmer.net/ to disable and remove the rootkit's dll on the machine I was working with. After that, I was able to run MBAM, install free avg, and had the system running very well.
Maybe you should delete those files and all backups of them before the company sends hypothetical hitmen to murder you? I'd think sitting in jail would be one of the lighter hypothetical penalties you can come up with.
Not only that, but Win 3.1 took about.2 seconds to load from a dos prompt on my old pentium 90. I'd be afraid to see the machine that took 2 minutes to boot Win 3.1!
Odd. I've been playing it the last 5 days on Win XP with out a single crash. The only problem I have is after alt-tabbing out, I'm sometimes unable to the game back.
In enforcing their precious NDA, hasn't Palm just turned off the entire community and made their NDA moot? It seems to me that there are too many alternative phone O.S's to risk alienating their community over trivial matters. In fact, this looks to me like they have things to hide.
How about they load Adblock Plus on firefox and then rerun the test with 100 random internet sites? I'd be surprised if firefox wasn't the winner by a large margin.
I was under the impression that multicast forced everyone to watch the video in a synchronized fashion -- which wouldn't work in an on-demand environment. Is that not true?
Otherwise your point seems to be correct.
1. P2P Video is the best way to scale video feeds to tens or hundreds of thousands of viewers.
2. Because of how P2P works, it is unavoidable that you get direct IP addresses of other video watchers.
3. Legal language is necessary just to prevent (or make less inviting) outside agencies or users from spying, collecting IP addresses, and otherwise abusing all the other users of their P2P network. Isn't this a good thing for privacy? Would you rather grant every person/agency on the internet full permission to abuse their video customers instead?
Really, not every bit of legalese is a big attack on the average user.
To be fair, VTEC does allow for a milder cam profile at lower rpms, while allowing for a much more aggressive cam profile for additional horsepower at higher rpms. Maybe that's what the OP was getting at.
Just because a black man says something offensive, doesn't make it ok to repeat it. Seems to me your son needed to learn a little common sense. As much as people like to rail against political correctness, being a racist is even worse. Agreed that the guys ganging up on your son should be punished as well.

CFLs aren't quite as efficient as you state. From a google search: "12, 23, 29 Watts, 120 Volts (50, 100, 150 watt 3-Way incandescent equivalent)"

so if that's "reverse elitist drivel" what do we call your response?
Very nice.
To the GP: If the system is broken, then it needs to be fixed for everyone, not just those with lots of disposable income.

I agree as well, just replace the 9/11 imagery with more generic disasters and it'd be fine.
The only thing that did annoy me was the christian cross on the last page, though at least it was very subtle.
Exactly. Good luck evacuating your building faster than a plane can fly into it.
I suppose that's why I occasionally see the same or better laptop at newegg.com for $200 less.
Perhaps you just mean low profit compared to the amazing markups placed on clothing.

Agreed, but he has to operate in our religious climate. He'd either be impeached, assassinated, or stonewalled if he made the changes you propose.
If she had perfect parents, she likely wouldn't be depressed and suicidal.
So, you think everyone should have guns? Cool, I'll have to patent some easy-trigger designs for a range of infant, toddler, and child handguns.
Soldiers are supposed to want to fight. If you want the Peace Corps, send in the Peace Corps. If you want the Marine Corps, send in the Marine Corps.
Please, tell it to the "Righties" that have placed the U.S. troops in a hostile foreign country to act as police officers. Don't whine at us about it.
