from the looks of the monitor, it seems to be either a 1998-1999 model.
just change a few lines of code, comments etc.. and name it index.html
who says source code has to follow the naming procedures..
and i would *love* to see them try to outlaw linking to index.html:)
This affects all of us.. the more companies we can get to provide ports of the products.. the better off we all will be. someone has to start somewhere.. its all about competition, so far, we have support from alias|wavefront, and now softimage.. hopefully.. we will see more ports of graphics software soon.
Mentalray is the rendering engine used by Softimage and has been available for the linux platform for some time now. IIRC Digital Domain used Mentalray for the rendering on linux to create the effects for Titanic. Mentalray is owned by Mental Images. ok. i ramble entirely too much.
Newtek cant seem to make the existing ports work properly and consistantly. they need to fix what they have now before they could consider porting anything.
iirc.. a few programmers at a|w ported maya to linux back when maya 1.0 was released.. being that SGI (a|w's parent company) was in bed with microsoft at the time.. the project was shelved and never released to the public.. alias did eventually release the rendering engine under the linux platform however.. it was inevetible that the whole application would be ported eventually.
Naaah.. Play has had a cube shaped system for much longer than the Qube has been around. and IMHO it is a much better system than apple would produce for quite a while anyway.

print <<"EOF";
<head>
<script language="JavaScript">
<!--
if (self != top) top.location.href = window.location.href;
//--></script>
</head>
EOF
